Getting back to Razorfist, I'm surprised no one's mentioned when he did a black metal screech in his Darkthrone mythos to show how it's not easy to do (despite the fact they are easy to do). Probably the most autistic and cringey thing I've seen him do.

Most current from old bands is the newer Angel Witch and Satan albums, there are a couple of Manilla Road albums as well (who razorfisto hates too iirc for some reason) and a few demo compilations. There are probably some other albums I haven't thought about but it really isn't that many. I find most new albums from old bands suck

Even black thrash bands like Vomitor and Destoyer 666 who are probably the farthest from Burzum sound-wise while still being black metal have cited Burzum as an influence. I mean yeah retards have a tendency to wank off Burzum a bit too much but saying Varg had no influence is far more retarded

Iron Maiden and Danny's precious Judas Priest definitely demonstrate that most new albums by old bands are trash, but you are missing out if you didn't check out last year's Napalm Death and Cirith Ungol records
