General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Someone on Twitter showed this screenshot of a comment that Calli hearted on Youtube. Even she have to respect the troon shark since he still streamed for time to time. Suffice to say, this really is a diss on those who never produce any content and just tweet all day. I like the name people gave to those kinds, VTweeter
No matter how much the troon shark sucks, at least he actually does something even if it's not any good.

You don't need a gaming computer to be a vtuber at all, some of the best content I've seen comes from browser games and quizzes, and even those short music videos Fubuki is famous for, like... Scatman? Taken straight from Twitter itself!

Holy shit Calli's song was great, glad she had the balls to put it out like that.
Also called it
From that description, how much do you bet the song will rile up the TBAs?
The line '"That's easy for you to say little miss company hire" as if these moves did not take heartache and these tracks are not fire' really sums it up, Sure joining hololive may have given her a leg up but she had to work damn hard to get there and still has to work extremely hard to maintain her audience.

Giving them the V is too good for them especially since some did face reveals. I just call em twitter fingers

Hololive is also notoriously cheap as hell and doesn't pay for shit other than sending iphones with whatever software that makes the vtuber magic. iirc Kiara and Polka were pretty open about having to use their own money to replace their potato PCs and years later all the Hololive girls still make their own thumbnails. "Anti-work" means you will never sniff at the chance of getting picked up by anyone legit.
I think this was put in place after the whole Hitomi Chris thing since they wasted a lot of money setting her up and realized that they should probably not do that.

From what I gather, Cover gives the girls a set budget to work with and they can get whatever they want in terms of equipment within that budget; this includes things like a PC or proper recording equipment or microphones. Anything beyond that is out of their own pocket, which actually works out because if they ever leave the company, it's not like they're suddenly without a bunch of shit that would be considered company property.
Is that what Itsagundam does? I swear his model or whatever looks like the TF2 Scout with a bunch of cosmetics on.
Gundam's model is the TF2 Scout with a Gundam helmet.

Anyone who actually creates content is better than the TBA people by default. Literally everyone who has their own forum on this site is better than the TBA crowd (and I can't believe I'm saying something nice about the likes of DSP or Artemis in the same statement) because they're actually doing something these chucklefucks only talk about doing. Even if you create shit content, you're still creating content. If you quit while you suck, you're gonna suck forever. Same with never starting at all.

retard TBA vtuber be like "uh lemme make diss to calli, to reply her song" in the end they will never got another feedback from her, probably because company regulation to not feed the fire with oil. + calli seems doesnt giving a fuck, so in the end they did nothing that satisfied themselves , even if they bring a lot of another twitter mass. it just like talking to the wall, or if they look into the mirror. the only thing they can glorifying maybe making a hastag trend and try to cancel. thats all

the song itself must be greenliight by management so call can post it, but they prolly didnt get the actual lyric supposed to be, and maybe its intentional for calli not to be subtle so she can dodge the bullet if management ask "did this song mean to start fire?"

calli seems to bring herself as not just being a vtuber but a content creator, looking at the last time calli involved in Joey TheAnimeMan vid about putting her MyAnimelist. maybe thats why she heart that comment about the troon. she seem doesnt want to stuck just collab with other vtuber but with others if she can but seems management not letting that go due many reason. so yeah, she seems start to show herself in calli

>I'll make content to respond to Calli saying I don't make content

Pretty sure that's what she wanted

If this guys can produce content with their cheap models i dont see why this vtweeter cant

This Chuuba made an avatar out of MS Paint. You don't need to shell out $$$$ just to begin to make content

Found the stream link from reddit where she first calls out the vtweeters.
I also just remembered a clip where Calli states that some of her "Underworld friends" (irl musician buddies?) became vtubers so she was happy with joining Hololive would allow her to reconnect with them. I wonder which vtuber friends she is talking about, maybe one of those the Calli doom posters are always freaking out lol

as much as i hate the troon shark, i can respect someone who puts work into their craft and makes a profit off it. hell, i respect people who have the guts too follow their dreams and passion even if the chance of them succeeding are low.

if you told guys like pewdiepie and James Rolf that they would become as big as they are now before they were famous, i think it would make them fail because it was their passion and love for the content they created without thinking they would make it big someday that, ironically enough, made them the stars they are today.

everyone wants to be a star without understanding what makes you a star to begin with.

Model isn't free. Producing music take a fuck ton of money. Making content alone as indie hard if not impossible
Suisei read and just chuckle, then use her 2D avatar that she made herself by following videos on YouTube to create a stream that have 20k live viewers while also showing the song that she make herself with her own money and her hard works.

Seriously, the only reason Suisei wasn't boom with her time as indie is because there is no market for that in Japan yet during the time, but she tear her own path with everyday grind and just keep going. She work par-time at restaurant as waitress, taking side-job editing for other vtubers, and making videos by herself everyday. She keep making connection and manage to reach AKZi while she's still an indie. All of this doen't come from whining on Twitter about how hard her life is, it take time and a lot of griding. When she realize her video doesn't gain views, she look into what went wrong and change her method. She doesn't whine about how people don't watch indie. She adapt. She overcome. It's still take a lot of luck for her to get into Hololive, but it's the chance that was made possible becuase she put a shit ton of work to create it in the first place.

EN-indie that already in a market with accepting condition and supporting platform just whine about how saturated and expensive it is to get in just pissed me off. They never bother study the market in the first place and just parrot whatever their TBD friends said.

I watch Ms.Paint waifu religiously now. There's like at best 20 people watching, her voice sometime downright drowned in her bgm, and I have no idea what the fuck she actually doing because I dont speak nips. But god is that Ms.Paint avatar charming, and the fact she also stream in the middle of the night for Japan also endearing (and convenient for me). I don't know if she's a tired OL, a really hikki neet, or just someone who's sleeping schedule is fucked beyond recognition, I'll support my Ms.Paint waifu on her way to fame.

Vtuber streams Frank's adventures when.

Rig up a TF2 SFM model and roleplay one of the mercenaries. Hella popular game, premade models with amazing customization potential and runs on 2007 hardware. Don't even need to think up a character concept because the mercs are interesting enough already. Debut video provided by Valve corporation.

If anyone actually does this, you're welcome.

Woke up today with a banger song and the ENtuba community on fire. Sasuga Reaper!

Actually saw a good amount of people agreeing with Calli and get up from their lazy asses and work. Meanwhile the dumber ones are hard coping by being called out "But she has a company backing her" "It's hard to put out content". Like what did you expect for this to be? Daisies and roses? Vtubbing is a hobby, and for some it's their passion project. Those take work and money. Calli had to juggle a ton of jobs when she was starting her HoloEN career, it's not like she was handed all her fame in a silver platter. Not to mention Cover doesn't just hire any lazy bum off of Twitter, they actually want people with talent, otherwise they'd actually have hired Hime or some other Vshojo girl when they applied. If all you got from this song was "She is being mean to indie vtubers" instead of "You need to work hard for fame, don't expect it to be easy, so just work", then I suggest you go commit toaster in bathtub.
