General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

This is her bio/description on her profile according to deepL:
It's a nightmare.
Feeds on nightmares, but seems to be trying to change its tastes lately?
Legend has it that it is a fallen unicorn
But there is also the saying that unicorns never fall.
So, did they remove their skin to reveal their original appearance?
Or is it instead cloaked in a layer of skin it ......?
You know, thinking too much will make your hair fall out, right?
Nerd ^ ^
Tonight, what is a good dream?
Being real subtle about everything I see. Also the name is similar to Civia too.

I also want to add. What retard thought that comments floating by on the screen was a good idea? By the end of the video you can barley see her model.

I was rather neutral about Cali till today, but unexpectedly to me the latest song was great and I love the message. Were HoloEN girls lucky to be selected into a group that exploded in popularity? Yes, but they worked hard to earn the lottery ticket. If you do nothing, you won't even have a chance: for one successful artist/entertainer/businessman/sportsman/writer/whatever there are hundreds and thousands who tried and failed and some of them may even had more potential than the successful individuals, but weren't lucky enough, haven't met the right people etc. But TBDs are just people waiting for a big lottery win without even buying a ticket.
It also baffles me how much Cover just got their EN casting right (most likely a large part due to Coco overseeing everything). Their synergy is amazing. Ame and Gura are great together, Calli and Kiara seem like they're connected at the hip (Coco and Kanata vibes, even outside of the yuri baiting) and Ina gets along with everyone. They had to tread the literal minefield that is ENVtubers and didn't make a single misstep. Outside of some weird out of context stuff Ame did and stuff Kiara did 5+ years ago, they're basically spotless.

Genuinely, my hats off to them.

Edit: Also, Matsuri's twitcasting from her other account.

Isn't Senzawa a ticking time bomb with a timer called "just let me get drunk"? Like it was a surprise when you first learned that they are the same person. Ina was also a gamble as there is currently no background experience of her with streaming that has been uncoverd. Ame is like you said and Calli and Kiara just happened to hit off when they mey by pure luck (unless they have some backstory I dunno about)

I can see Coco being hired/giving aid in selecting the members but I don't think she would've been alot of help. I wonder what Kiara did 5+ years ago.

I think the flying comments(they are called danmaku aka bullet hell) was taken from NND(figures bugmen can only plagiarize) which has the same thing but you can disable it there whereas BB, I can't find any option to disable it, maybe you have to register to get the option and fuck that.

I'm not even sure luck factored much into the selection process once it started. Who was actually in the pool with more chops/stability than the ones who ended up winning? I mean, who was actually going to get the nod over Senzawa herself? Or an actual former idol like Keeki?

Thing is, I get the feeling she doesn't want to be drunk anymore. She swore a bunch as Senzawa, but does so very rarely as Gura, even though Hololive is fine with "idols" who curse like Andrew Dice Clay. I think she's moved on from that place in her life, and I hope she doesn't fall back into it no matter how many neckbeards wail over the loss of their drunken gremlin waifu.

Don't be an idiot wanting everything served on a silver platter. The floaty comments are a part of the website's video streaming program. They are visibly not hard coded. Since it's not in English, I can't baby feed you but just fiddle around and you will find an option to hide them.

Don't worry about her
I'm not. I am just wondering how this is taking so long. Suisei is, while lacking in subs to her peers, one of the better content creators HL has. The girl is good at a lot of shit, and where she fails she sells it. See the majesty of Toy Story's 'Falling with Style' remark. I'm a firm believer in Style points and she has that in spades.
she literally kneecapped those idiots and they cant go against her because she is right and her fans will eviscerate them
I'm a sucker for a riled up fanbase that burns another down for the right reasons.
Yes, but they worked hard to earn the lottery ticket.
Calli even talked about the fact that her interview went to shit because her original plan didn't work out. She had to literally create content on the fly to not look like a complete spaz. That's the biggest chad move I've seen yet in Hololive outside of Suisei's 'Fine, I'll Do It Myself' in regards to everything.

The name and everything has been on the Artia server since early November. As for subtlety. . . why? They can't use their HL names but they are still trying to market. I don't blame them for that. I keep my eye on the two. . . internal leaks and shit aside, to see if they actually unfuck themselves.

Only those close to her can properly say. What I think is her condition is like the "Pink Guy Effect" where she regrets what she has done in the past but since it's in her nature, if for whatever reason, she does a drinking stream, there will be nothing stopping her from running wild.

It's pretty obvious that they background check their talents extensively. Not for seiso or whatever, but for having some form of entertainment potential and not being a toxic asshat. Whoever does the interviews is probably a great judge of character too, considering the sheer number of manipulative bastards around. That being said when EN Gen 1 was chosen, there was certainly a lot less of this shit going around due to relatively less fame on their part. A Gen 2 (if any) will be a lot harder, I suspect they will strongly rely on referrals from their existing members.

On the other hand, we know that even if she does get blackout drunk on stream the worst that'll come of it is a bunch of memes. A rather safe choice if you ask me.

She had some champagne for her New Year's Getting Over It stream and didn't fall to pieces.

Demonitization. shadow ban and such isn't a new thing for HL so unlike the Kiara case, they don't need to take it seriously and get it fixed asap. It won't hurt Suisei if it get delayed a day or 2. Heck, if anything she is getting a much needed of rest, broadening her horizon with shitposting and is gonna shake the whole Earth when she crashes down again on earth, Re-energized.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bcre1IdevWU Subaru can also be up there I guess.

The luck factor only played a part in whoever the interviewers thought of as more viable in between 2 content creators. There is no luck factor in choosing a content creator and a TBA announcing ENVTuber. Someone said there were 1000 applicants for 0th Gen. But it makes you wonder, how many of them were serious and how many of them had previous experience.

Being real subtle about everything I see. Also the name is similar to Civia too.
Kind of a nice change than fans crying over hiding her previous identity. Also has a nice on-going chunni lore of; a beautiful Unicorn having a dream of living comfortably in the upper echelons (in a corporate) is now a fallen being scraping by in the obscure underworld (indie community).

The 'Drunk Gremlin' Doomposters are getting a bit trite at this point. I question whether any of them have ever met an alcoholic or seen someone drink-to-ease-the-pain. I've watched the Gura 'drunk' streams, the Senzawa drunk streams, and I've read that schizophrenic thread that doxxed her to hell and back. In my line of work, you are either one of those two types of people I mentioned earlier or reason for them. She isn't an alcoholic, but she is definitely someone who was hit with something.

Edit: Still iffy on how to add quotes to an edit but in response to Zaphkiel (great name Ghost Rider), Subaru doesn't make chad moves. She is a chad. I'm convinced of that when Noel mentioned she drinks protein and watches BAKI. MMA memes should be on the horizon.

Hmm.. Is it that surprising about their choices in EN talents tho?
I would imagine that an applicant would be required and willing to provide all their SNS and other media that they would have counted as portfolio.
There would be little digging needed with all the information provided.

senzawa's like a Internet urban legend at this point -- which is to say, something simple that's been transformed, twisted, and exaggerated after being retold by tons of different people over time.

The actual senzawa was a lot tamer than most people seem to think. If you actually want to see what she was like, her Sponge Bob Battle for Bikini Bottom seems to be the only full stream that's been archived.
