Why does one become emo? Why does one become a hood? Why does anyone join any subculture? It's the affirmation and deep desire to fit in. It's the asspats. It's a weird hybrid of jealousy of others attention and the thought of escapism. I have more respect for a trans person who doesn't say they're trans (unless appropriate). because these other guys act as if they're essentially convincing themselves that this is what they need while you see trans people who aren't milking it for efame act as if they need it from the get go and don't broadcast it as constantly.
I think all started when the bar for being transgender kept getting lowered. "You don't need dysphoria to be trans" "You don't need to have surgery to be trans" "You don't need anything to be trans". The "Truscum" were 100% correct and that's why they called them "Truscum" and not something proper. Once the bar got lowered, it allowed people like Jimothy Sterling to "come out" and say he's trans despite only wanting the attention that comes with. Why else does he choose to look like a Willy Wonka waxwork melted into Roseanne Barr? He's desperate for positive attention, he's a fat loser that's been waning in popularity but can't commit to just being a full trans woman because of the "Jim Sterling" brand, that's why he only changed his middle name. It's why Non-Binary identities are enjoyed by mostly attention seeking teenagers with daddy issues because it requires no effort and it's an excuse to act out and be a cunt with no backlash because muh protected identity.
These guys see trans women and see a chance for people to give them attention, money, endless support no matter what shitheelery they do, and an escape from the mundane uninterestingness that is their lives. Trans people are the most protected internet class going and people want in.
