Ah yes, yes, you're right.

Isn't he sueing for both defamation per se and tortious interference? Both would apply, no? I mean, what they are saying about him isn't true to begin with and they technically did screw up his chance at business really early on. Unless that is also something else I am thinking of. I can't fathom what though.

So Vic is is suing for defamation, TI-EC, TI-PBR, and civil conspiracy, plus vicarious liability against Funimation.

If the statements are not true, then yes, Vic has a defamation case, since those statements definitely caused him damage. TI-PBR could also possibly be on the table if Vic can prove that conventions and dub studios were going to hire him but then didn't because of the defamation.

If the statements are indeed true, Vic wouldn't have a defamation case, because true statements can never be actionable. He could still make a case for TI-EC, since inserting yourself between two contract holders with the aim to damage that contract is a tort in and of itself.

Businesses refusing to hire him don't automatically equal TI-PBR, by the way. Vic has to prove that they were ready to extend contracts to him but then stopped when they heard the lies that he was some serial rapist or whatever. If he can't prove that, he can probably still make the assertion that the defamation has damaged his future economic prospects and just add those numbers to the confirmed defamation damages, like his termination and convention cancellations.

Josh Grelle, one of the voice actors who dropped out of Kameha Con when they brought Vic back, just announced that he lost a gig and his home along with it.

As for Kameha Con, their 2020 convention was postponed to January 2021 for a smaller event, which was also cancelled. They are currently scheduled for July. For those who missed it, Kamaha Con, along with several other conventions, were reportedly sold to a group related to voice actor Eric Vale, so they shouldn't have any issues getting Funimation cast members as guests.

edit: Josh Grelle also accompanied Monica to her alternate signing event after withdrawing from Kamaha Con.

Vic, while damaged, still makes do with the shit sandwich he was handed, and is doing well, all things considered.

Meanwhile the people who have actively worked to damage him can't seem to stop getting fucked in the ass.

Maybe there is a God.

EDIT: Also, this guy tried to troon out, then stopped when he thought it probably wouldn't get him enough pity points.

And another one bites the dust. What was he even up to these days, anyway? I know the lockdowns screwed over a lot of people, but damn, that was fast.

I mean, at one point he wanted to be called Mina-Marie and not Josh, so maybe he'll troon out, get the pity bucks, and get his house and hormones back.

Maybe he should've stuck with trooning out rather than aborting, probably coulda cried transphobia against the people.

That aside, haven't these VA stooges been ones saying Vic should just get a real job doing shit like flipping burgers or working at Taco Bell? Seems that thanks to Corona-chan, they may have to consider that for themselves since their gigs and roles are drying up quicker than the Sahara Desert.

So... is this dude recovering from Bell's Palsy or something?
And, two, what is that thing on this upper lip? Very pedo-chic.

From the weekly Twitch stream

TY BEARD: MOTION TO WITHDRAW

Also this is more of a @Dean Pentel thing to notice, but one of Vic's call-ins was actually not hard on the eyes.

If anyone wants to help Josh Grelle out, considering purchasing a personalized message from him where he points his phone at a picture of character he voiced.
