I had a shitpost idea for a mod based on the amazing movie African Kung Fu Nazis. Hitler and Tojo make a new Ghanaryan empire in Africa and try to conquer the world.
Just go full retard and try to make the funniest modern day hellscape possible. Mussolini as a necromancer whose making his own True and Honest Axis with zombie Oswald Mosely and Wizard Himmler. America becoming a multi-sided civil war between Biden supporters, Qboomers, Antifa, /pol/spergs, and a Elon Musk/Mark Zuckerberg/Moviebob led technocracy.

Red World for HOI4 kind of gave me that vibe with both its current and planned content. Too bad the creator died, though there is an attempt to revive it as a fan fork.

Then there's Red Flood which is probably the most insane of all the mods I've seen, especially playing as Avant-Garde France in it.

Hey everyone, former TNO dev here. I don't have much to add on top of what everyone else has already said/shared, but I do have one interesting tidbit I felt was worthy enough of making an account and posting about.

Pacifica has their own clique-y discord server separate from the main TNO discord itself, which is filled to the brim with both former and current members of the dev team (as well as a few other outside friends), which I was a part of for a brief time. From what I saw there, it seemed like a prime grooming ground for all sorts of debauchery, complete with an NSFW channel where if memory serves me correct, they shared weird "sissification hypno" pornography. Sadly I'm not in that server anymore so I have no way of sharing any of this stuff, but it seems like another fresh ground for troonery outside of what people have already dug up. Figured it was worth a mention.

Why does it always come back to sissy hypno? I swear if we got rid of sissy hypno or found some way to counter it at least 50% of the problems facing todays youth would vanish overnight.

Good god we were wise enough to only talk between ourselves and abandoning discord.
But maybe it's just that eastern modding community is just more chill in general.

From the 2000s to maybe the early 2010s and a little later, Paradox had a mostly right-wing (if not far-right) fanbase. The mods tended to be more serious, and there was less drama. I stopped playing paradox when they started to DLC-whore badly with Crusader Kings 2, so I never saw this 'transition'. A troon takeover was absolutely unthinkable in say 2010. What the hell happened? I had read somewhere that Paradox was trying to purge more right-wing members from it's official forum but I never saw it.

Paradox games got user friendly. HOI 4, eu4, and ck3 are all extremely easy games that have a YouTube guide to hold your hand through every challenging aspect. Eu2, hoi2, and ck were where paradox games started to be modded, and they were largely inaccessible to anyone but seasoned neckbeards. Paradox mods at this time made the games even more complex while ironing away the janky parts of the genre. Mods like For The Glory (EU2) or Darkest Hour(Hoi2) were coopted by Paradox and given official support and releases, and for a good reason: they were superior versions of the games they were replacing. Paradox has largely stayed the fuck away from the modding community since the disasters of MEIOU and other attempts to professionally release eu3 mods. Kaiserreich is the only tolerable hoi4 mod since 85% of it was developed during the hoi2 era. The grognards who developed the high quality mods 15 years ago are a completely different breed than the trannies and commies and nazis that comprise today’s modding scene.

It is quite weird because as you may already guess the Slavic modders for games are spergier than the general population so we make fun of them, but compared to the troons on display here they're well adjusted individuals relatively speaking. The average western mod developer is a troon with a grooming discord fishing for asspats 24/7. The average Slav mod developer is a guy who spends his entire day sitting at a desk wearing stained clothes with greasy unwashed hair in a filthy room surrounded by empty energy drink cans programming his mod.

Can they at least TRY to noodle out the actual impact of such a change, because nothing about normalizing fags results in either outcome the game gives you. Even in the best case scenario neither of those attributes would "get better" if such a change was implemented.

I can't even figure out what fucked up logic they are using, and usually I can at least noodle out where the logic, however flawed it may be, originates. I've got nothing on this one.

Not to derail the conversation about TNO or anything, but I wanna talk a bit about crasher925 and some other people later. Crasher's not the most special person in the community but I think he's an interesting person. He's an obese weeaboo pansexual aspie tankie (now that I say it that way, he reminds me of Vaush) . Crasher used to be a developer for the Historic Geographical Overhaul mod and is now a mod on the Iron Workshop mod.

Crasher was born in Virginia. He has a trans sister (brother) and his parents are according to him narcissists who abuse him. Crasher dropped out from high school and became an enlightened atheist commie. According to him studying Marx takes years of studying and he claims to be a student of Marxism. Aside from obviously being obese, Crasher suffers from Asperger's syndrome and claims to be a psychopath.
Nowadays, Crasher spends his time crying over not having a girlfriend and being lonely IRL.

The Slavic and Balkans HOI modders I've seen would both be right at home glowposting and politisperging in A&H, even put them to shame. I've even considered posting some of their stuff here, it's just that it's not actually that funny and mostly meme posting. Plus I have infinitely more respect for grade school fascists who constantly shit up their own Discord with memes; making a mod spinoff in which they actively attempt to be apolitical and not let their bias get to them as a passion. Compared to trooners and groomers who have slave drived and exploited hundreds of passionate people to make an absolutely awful political statement with a former-former-former lead dev who bent over to anyone of any relevance who would give him attention. On top of a former-former lead dev who bent over for anyone, period.

I suspect a lot of people involved in the scene know much more than me. But they're generally unhappy because of the glamorization of Sablin who's an actual terrorist and generally poor and inaccurate depictions of other characters. That's pretty much just in general though, if you understand just over the barebones of a country's history and its political actors, usually your own. You'll probably take issue with the mod. I'm gearing up to be exceedingly ass mad come the next update. On the Western side of the nu-cultural iron curtain most people are willing to take it since it either agrees with their politics or they don't care and just wanna play the mod everyone calls very good. I imagine it's the same for the Ruskies except their side of the nu-curtain doesn't share the view of the West. You just hear it from the Ruskies the most cause there are so many.
