Was I one of the people who thought back then she was trying to look as unappealing and unattractive as possible the same way she must be now? I think I was.

Perhaps I didn't realize it at the time, but back when the simp thing blew up Anisa did have a nice "girl next door" aesthetic going for her. She wasn't an 11/10 supermodel or anything, but with what she had there was potential for her to play up the "girl you had a crush on in high school" angle reasonably well, and like those types she had the ability to amp up her attractiveness by standing next to some nerdy chick or something to get that supermodel look she was gunning for. Which is pretty ironic, since Anisa back then juxtaposed with the Anisa we have now is drop-dead gorgeous.

Just goes to show her looks weren't the problem after all (keyword here being "weren't"). When you get down to brass tacks, it's her lack of charisma or any sort of discernible personality that's holding her back. Hindsight is 20/20, I suppose.
