Knew Luna's condition wasn't hydrocephalus or any of the other -cephalies, but could never fully wrap my head (no pun intended) around what it encompassed until seeing those brain slides and the little misshapen lump that looks like playdoh that got left out. Jesus fucking hell.

So the massive/multiple "holes" are just filled with CSF? Can they merge together over time or stay the same once the hypoxic incident occurs (ie, the cord being wrapped around Luna's neck for 3 days)? Fuck, the only thing I can think about now is learning about plant cell wall collapse in science class and imagining that's going to happen to her brain one day.

It's interesting to watch that Reiki session cos it's not like Ms Empath's usual curated clips of Luna. Luna either seems to lie there nearly motionless or be seizing. Nope once brain tissue is destroyed its gone. As you can see in the one side view it literally collapses at times due to the cysts.

Related I heard about this horrorshow a while back. Tl;dr, some dude managed to pester his state into issuing a "certificate of nonviable birth" for a fetus his ex aborted. I don't have any proof but people on the group I first saw the story were saying that he was supposedly stalking and harassing the ex to the point she had to get a restraining order and police escort to the clinic. If that's true I'll bet he was one of those abusive shitheads trying to use pregnancy to control his (ex)girlfriend and is using the prolife crowd as a personal army.

Myoclonic jerks arent always seizures. Not sure why you think this. They can be associated with seizures but can occur on their own. The difference is a) eeg activity remains normal and b) the duration of the myoclonic jerks when not the result of seizures dont last as long and tend to come and go. They can occur as a result of potassium/magnesium deficiency and such.

Judging by the size of Luna's head, I'm guessing it's more akin to images 2 or 3 in terms of damage, which makes it questionable as to how much Luna is aware of anything. Right now I'm feeling like her reaction to the pickle a while back was just a reflexive fluke than any vaguely conscious reaction.

Probly cyts will kill her first the way her skull is there probly are unfused areas allowing for extra swelling. She already has had seizures nad pain her mother decided only need Reiki and is tube fed other women's breast milk.

There are disadvantaged women with normal babies that are unable to breastfeed who could benefit from this a lot more, if nothing else than to at least supplement a formula diet. But no, she had to donate to a critically damaged baby (that technically ought to be a toddler now) that has no future.

I think the other brainless baby mom she just knew online. Though if a church is big enough I'm sure it's possible for there to be several different zombabies. Megachurches have what, a couple thousand people in their congregations? Plus I'm sure one fundie openly carrying a brainless baby to term and getting lavished with praise for it would only motivate another fundie in the congregation to do the same.

On a related note, I just realized anencephaly or other brands of dead baby are basically the ultimate munchausens by proxy accessory for fundies with munchie tendencies. You don't have to actually raise and care for them for very long, you get understandibly get sympathy even years later for telling people you have a dead baby, and with fundies choosing to carry a doomed fetus to term let's you show everyone how christ-like and life affirming you are. Plus these no pesky CPS investigations for purposefully sickening a kid.

Shit, isn't Marybeth Tinning sort of an extreme example of that? She had one baby die of natural causes and she got so addicted to the attention and sympathy she got for it that she murdered the rest of her kids. Iirc she only got caught after she murdered adopted kids she had no biological relation to, prior to that even the doctors just thought she and her husband were carriers for some deadly genetic condition.

Yeah the prolife crowd never bothers to put images of actual fetuses or abortions on their propaganda, probably because they don't look like much of anything until pretty late in the game. They want to try to get the emotional reaction by having an actual baby or whatever. It’s amazing to me how different this shit is viewed today vs sixty years ago. My grandmother delivered a baby that was full term and still born due to the cord being around his neck. He did have a name I finally found out, ( it was a touchy subject but one day I got up the nerve to ask) but his tombstone reads Infant and my grandparents last names. That’s very true. Luna doesn’t need to suffer any more than she already does. But I am dubious about the gluten stuff especially. I’m not sure how they’ve even worked out that Luna can’t tolerate gluten, since she can’t even eat by mouth.

Not to mention the comment Mom made once about Luna “asking” for watermelon, but it took her a few days to find one because it needed to be organic. The woman is too woo woo for words.
