Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

Apparently, Bell Media (a Leaf company that does mobile networks and programming) just laid off a bunch of people, immediately after their big "charity hashtag event for mental health", and one of the guys they let go is taking shots at them.

I'm not sure if the guy actually has mental health issues, although he has some amount of a point about the massive impact a year of being locked down has had on mental health in general, and the hypocrisy of a company that dedicates considerable time and money to talking about how much they help with mental health. Bell hasn't made any kind of controversial statements about lockdowns, either for or against, that I'm aware of, though. Anyways, there's a few retards creeping into the discussion, reeing about shit like "Welcome to the revolution!", as though being released from your job of "getting paid pretty well to spend your time talking about rich sportsball players" is logical grounds for anything like a revolution.

There was more retarded replies to the whole situation, but I'm not screenshotting anymore, because they make me dumb.
I haven't watched Jay and Dan for years because they're kind of shit. Their whole thing is to kind of be "Hello, fellow kids" sort of. Anyways, I remember a few years back they left TSN here in Canada to go work in the US for Fox Sports. Then they got cancelled and came back here. According to Dan's Wikipedia page regarding that:

During the week of Super Bowl 50, O'Toole was unusually harsh and biting toward his employers at Fox Sports 1. He sent several tweets toward people that were the subject of a Deadspin news article. The tweets may have been attributed to the recent layoffs and budget cuts at Fox Sports Live.[5] On February 23, 2017, Fox Sports Live was cancelled and the two hosts' contracts were not renewed.

And then there's even more which I didn't know about. Dan seems to be a bit off to say the least:

O'Toole announced the birth of his third daughter, Oakland, on May 26, 2020.[10]

On July 2, 2020, O'Toole announced on Twitter and his Instagram page that his one-month-old daughter Oakland was missing, but that he believed her to be alive.[11] Hours later, after controversially retorting to a reporter trying to help, he posted that Oakland had been located.[12] According to a Durham Regional Police police contact, there was never any abduction and crime.[13] O'Toole has since deleted all of his Twitter and Instagram posts which pertain to this matter.

I'm going to err on the side of saying that he probably does have some mental issues. I'm also going to say that he's probably just a hassle for everyone and he's using his issues as a way to act like it's unfair that they've had enough of him and don't see him as someone worth keeping around. Does he think that having a mental illness is somehow supposed to suddenly grant them that job position until the end of time?

It makes me think a bit of the Colin Kaepernick situation where teams weren't interested in signing him. They weren't uninterested in him because of his political stance or beliefs like he tries to present it to people (and how many non-football fans gobbled up). It's because he's simply not good enough to justify the distractions and headaches. He wasn't nor was he ever going to be Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees or Russell Wilson (all four having sterling reputations as both players and people) or someone worthy of dealing with the headaches because what they did on the field more than made up for it. There's a reason that guys with big issues like Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon (both blacker than Colin for the record) have gotten about a dozen second chances while Kaepernick hasn't and it's not because they've ever been all pro-MAGA or posting about the thin blue line.

A gay black Chaplain at King's College decided to shit on him and anyone clapping for him by calling it a display of White Nationalism and it made news. So no doubt LGBTQ+ and Black Twitter are desperate to shit on his grave too now.

Unsurprisingly the usual suspects rise up to defend spitting on someone's grave with identical articles;

It's even got a hashtag #istandwithjarel Looks like very little action on it but there's some winners out there.

In fairness it was about those marking his passing rather than the man himself. But oddly enough saying applauding the death of someone who literally fought Nazis is White Nationalism is a bit shambolic. He also has a number of prior Twitter posts that show this is not a new opinion for him, he just aimed at the wrong target this time.

I wouldn't have said it belonged here were it not for the people supporting him, best exemplified in that statement by the LGBT+ society at King's College.

"Stating his opinion" -being racist but the sort of racism we approve of
"It cannot be denied that the abuse is overly racist and homophobic in nature" - bet it can since most comments I have seen are more disgusted that someone in his position is saying that than giving a shit about his race or sexuality
And of course "We ask that they confront their own biases" if you don't say he did nothing wrong you're racist/homophobic/both

Pure SJW. What we do is above criticism, any opposition to us is only because the people doing so are evil and if you don't support us you are evil too.

The ironic thing is that Greek immigrants in America were discriminated against and, along with Italians, Jews and Irishmen, were only considered white very recently. It seems that while the past discrimination that blacks faced is apparently important, the discrimination against Mediterranians doesn't matter.

I'd be very unsurprised if, in 50 years, the same thing happens to British Asians. ”yes, I know the EDL beat you up and called you a paki, but that was 50 years ago and you need to get over it! We can't always dwell on the past, but anyways, justice for Mark Duggan.”

You are the definition of mediocre, and will never amount to anything more than a truckstop waitress and part-time lot lizard. That's being optimistic.

On-topic, Marvel continues to crater, at the behest of SJWs -

Is this a re-attempt of the comic that had one person named Snowflake and the kid that was "infected by internet gas"? I remember the internet gas thing.

Oh and it had fat Dora the Explorer as a character. Then got cancelled before it was ever released.

The whole reason for the internet gas thing was because boomer executives realised that the only people who watch capeshit are soyboys and that they had to try and get zoomer followers. However, they did that by doing shit like ”internet gas”.
Yeah, people in the comics industry really went full "How do you do, fellow kids?" somewhere around 2014. Marvel always did social commentary, but when DC started getting into it and it became as cringe as it did, I pretty much gave up on comics. As did a lot of other people, judging how hard sales tanked.

And I'm not sure Marvel ever did anything as retarded as Snowflake and Safespace.

No, no they didn't. Honestly, the social commentary from back in the day wasn't bad and it was mostly used as a backdrop rather than a plot point. It was easy to see where the writers lined up, but it wasn't in your face. Since DC never really did anything like that, it seemed they jumped right into the deep end of the TDS pool thinking (like most SJWs) that everyone who still cared had a sense of humor and gave a shit about the alphabet people. So the alphabet people got pissed off because they don't have a sense of humor, and everyone else just pointed and laughed.

the fact that if you say anything that oppesses this retarded ass agenda has the risk of being doxxed by bitchy white girls.
There's a simple solution to that.

Don't politisperg.
If you do, don't politisperg under your real name.
If you do, don't talk about identifying details when you politisperg.
If you do, don't list yourself on the electoral roll.
If you do, don't be surprised.

Here we go, another emotional scene, used to justify the strip-mining of rights from the American populace, because of an event that looks more and more like it was a fucking glow-op.

Joseph McCarthy must be doing pirouettes in his fucking grave. Bet he never thought the Communists would be using his own social and political control tactics not even a century after he did

Other way round, communists have been purging people for petty disagreements since Lenin. I don't think elected Democrats who probably won't even hike taxes to the level of the 1960s UK are communists, though.
