Yes. When you create a social identity (trans) that argues for abandoning all child safeguarding, encourages people to disregard their instincts of discomfort around perverts, etc you draw people who are into that kind of thing.
There was an interesting article showing that in the case of these broken family situations, it's not generally parents rejecting their "trans children", but rather angsty teens leaving home. I'm sure in the Bible Belt there are dads who go all "Ain't no son of mine gonna be a queer" and kick their kid out or whatever, but in most places like California, Oregon, New England etc. most parents are pretty accepting. If they do resist it's usually stuff like "I'll call you Joey but you have to wait until you're 18 to get your double mastectomy" and a lot of parents coddle their kids so hard they won't even set that basic boundary.

What a fucking retard. He's trying to say that because the range of testosterone levels is similar in males in females in some dataset, you can't set testosterone level cutoffs for sports eligibility.

Anyone who has ever seen a histogram can immediately tell that the male vs female distributions are very different. The long tail for females is made up of outliers. Without knowing more about the source data, we can't make many conclusions about what is going on there.

Edit: here's a figure from the paper he cites. The line at 10 nmol/L is the lower end of the reference range for normal males and the value the IOC uses to define hyperandrogenism in females. 11 of the 231 females included in this study had levels about 10 nmol/L. Of the 445 men, 332 were above it.

McKinnon is not a sport scientist and I doubt any sports scientist would agree with the 'because tall women exist then men and women are the same' bullshit. If McKinnon's ramblings were true, then they are not evidence that TW should be in women's sport, but that we should get rid of women's categories as men and women are the same. (But that would not give the TW the affirmation they crave, UWU)

Bermon & Garnier (2014) (https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/99/11/4328/2836760) tested the T-levels of 849 female athletes. The middle 50% had T-levels between 0.50-0.93nmol/L. 10 women with very high T were found to be either doping or had a DSD and were in fact XY individuals. Once these were removed from the data set, the 99th percentile for women athletes was found to be 3.08nmol/L. In a non-doping, non-DSD group of athletes, there will be very little overlap between testosterone levels between males and females.

If T is not performance enhancing, then why do we punish those caught doping with it? Furthermore, why are XY DSD individuals (eg. Caster Semenya) so prevalent in women's sport:
