You're reading it correctly , according to this chart lesbians are more likely to date trans women but they are also more likely to date trans men *for obvious reasons. This is considered transphobic because they are saying they see trans men as women.
With regards to the “reeeeee why won’t bisexuals date us” - an analogy I’ve heard before goes something like “I might like both hamburgers and ice cream but mixing them together to make hamburger flavoured ice cream would just be gross” and it hits the nail on the head. And even when it comes to people who do like a mixture of masculine and feminine characteristics, the majority of trannies are just repulsive, be they male or female.
I'd imagine that it's a bit of a kink for some gay men. Funny how that doesn't translate to MtFs (though I guess there's the small section of people willing to date both). Add that some people will just answer what they think is the politically correct answer and actually won't do it in reality.
