I'm pretty sure it was confirmed by ip2always.win that he didn't "lose his job" in the end, which seems to at least partially support Mya's claim that he has lied about that before to make a family member feel guilty for things they did/said.

No one is 100% sure. I am just going by what she said on her Tumblr, her behavior on livestreams (eating small amounts of low-calorie food even during mukbang videos), her gaunt appearance, and statements by her father about her abuse of stimulants for weight loss purposes. Seems very likely to me.

You are right. Jim is an abusive asshole who screams at people. Tessi got messed up from Jim's abuse, her mom leaving her, getting bullied in life, and getting addicted to drugs. Tessi is still an abusive asshole that shouldn't be bullying people though.
