Much as those screeching over the butts shots being ruined can be spergs, the way people such as tropers responded isn't any better, especially with shoehorning "neo-fasicst misogynistic power fantasy" in to it. Miranda’s Ass is a very important character in this series. That ass withstood having that bodysuit jammed halfway up it for days at a time. It was stretched and smushed by countless dynamic cover moves, squashed flat by barstools every time Shepard and crew went for a drink, and subjected to extreme acceleration during space battles, among many other indignities.

How can we get rid of that ass? It's obviously beyond most asses in being shaped so funnily it could look misshapened. How can we get bothered by it?

You know, any time I hear about Bioware's cringy woke pandering with ME, it reminds me of when Mass Effect 2 had come out and Mass Effect 3 was still several months away and one of their devs basically came out and said "Miranda is defined by her sexuality" after being grilled by the press over the ass shots. I mean for fuck's sake, if even Bioware didn't conceive of Miranda as anything beyond a pair of tits and ass when they first created her, then why do they expect me to see her as something more?

And fuck the Legendary edition, I bowed out the moment I heard they weren't going to include one of the DLCs. Give me all of the content or give me nothing, I won't settle for less.

Only played 2 years ago but I can imagine that with Miranda, they didn't make much beyond test tube baby made to score 10's on all the charts complete with daddy issues. Even with all the writing they put on the characters, I can't even remember much for her beyond her being salty I didn't side with her and something about her dad wanting to make a legacy through her. Only truly memorable thing was someone saying she looked like Michael Jackson.

Hilariously, if you have the Citadel DLC, there's a mod that changes the ending where you celebrate at the Citadel after you beat the game.

And this isn't just a small mod either, oh no. It erases any reference to the ongoing threat. That's right, it completely scrubs any text or voice that implies this is before the end of the game. It basically forcibly erases the ending that they had in mind. So its not just a switch and that's it. There's absolutely no mention of the war or anything.

They're also allegedly talking to modders and shit. But who cares.

Oh they're not fixing the ending. They're only removing Miranda's ass which is probably in several hundred SFM porn videos so its completely pointless. I maintain that this is an astroturfed controversy to keep people talking about the series while they prep for 4. I mean, just download a texture pack and you're set. They should have just remade all three with a consistent narrative, evolving mechanics, new guns, more intricate romances, new quests, less filler, etc. Would have probably reignited the series. Yeah, it'd cost a lot of money.

But a generally fixed plot? A redone ending? Choices linked together that matter? You've got all the benefit of hindsight and how to repair the damage. I just don't see the point of the remaster seriously. The games are going to be just as disjointed plot and mechanics wise, and the ending is still going to be shit. Like the gameplay transition from one to two, if you play them back to back, hits you like a ton of bricks. Their excuse "Oh, we want people to remember their old experiences" Of what? Nothing you do mattering? Ultimately the fate of the galaxy coming down to an elementary shooler's multiple choice question? Those are not fond memories. The ass controversy was to totally distract from this mediocre shit.

Just like the controversy for Miranda, it feels like filler until the fourth game. Which I honestly don't believe will be remotely enough to restore the franchise after Andromeda, which basically put a bullet in it.

My recommendation, just download mod and texture packs and call it a day. Because that's all this is, a glorified texture pack.

I wonder if the cutscenes for the battle on Earth section in ME3 will be finally fixed for the remaster. There was bad textures, broken animations, tons of missing/out of sync audio effects during the final stretch of the game and if I remember correctly they weren't fixed with the extended ending.

Also fuck all the sex and romance shit, the best relationship in Mass Effect is the Shepard/Garrus bromance.

If they wanted to really fix the whole 'have to go full Renegade or Paragon' issue, they only need to look back at ME1
- Change the meters to a reputation check. This incorporates your background as before, but it lists deeds Shepard is known for.
- This then incorporates into your attempts to converse.
- A Shepard who is known for compassion would have better success at softer negotiations, while a ruthless Shepard would do better at intimidation
- Unlike ME1, you wouldnt need to put level ups into this, or merge both the Persuade and Intimidate stats into a Charisma that affects both
- This record also lists reputation among species, so you may be known as a human supremacist, even if you're mostly kind, you would struggle with Turians or Batarians. Or you may be seen as a xenophile by your fellow humans
- Interrupts are kept in as are

It'd also actually tie into the whole 'unite the galaxy' thing 3 tries

you meant port the Remaster Textures to the PC Trilogy? the only issue you'll be losing is the refined mako driving and streamlined combat of ME1 but you'll get the ass shots no probs. they won't touch anything else because woke faggotry, that includes fixing shit.

No, he's saying use mods like ALOT, which is an HD texture mod. Just from the screenshots, its textures already seem to look better than the remaster's.

Tbh, I liked ME3, although it wasn't as good as ME2. And feel free to roast me for this but I enjoyed Andromeda as well. Andromeda was certainly the weakest chapter in the series and probably would have done better if it didn't have such big shoes to fill. I thought it was a better than average Sci Fi game. It almost felt more like a Star Trek game than a ME game.

Paragon/Renegade was already firmly "angel who wants everyone to get along" vs "asshole who kicks babies even when it doesn't help at all" by Mass Effect 2. And, to be honest, a few exchanges in Mass Effect 1 had that dynamic so it's been with the series from the start.

You could also make the argument that it was awfully convenient for a Prothean to still be around and it should have never made it any further than the idea stage.

Yeah, hearing a Prothean was fucking DLC is what lead me to pirate the 3rd game. The most important species any person could be on your team, or shit just the galaxy in general, at that time and they make it DLC.
But in their defense, it's not like Javik played an important role in the story (he should have of course) so he probably was a scrapped idea until an EA exec came by the office one day asking about the sick new day-1 DLC that's mandatory for all EA owned companies.

Instead of remastering the whole series they should just polish/re-release the first game and totally overhaul 2 and 3. Make another actual RPG or 2 and leave generic bland 3rd person shooting to a team that actually has no creative talent.

Full Renegade in ME1 made Shepard into a human supremacist who didn't like aliens. I hated how this entire element to him was seemingly discarded in ME2 (and I assume ME3 but I didn't play it enough to really find out)

Hell ME2 had an element where Shepard absolutely hated AI, which made sense after ME1 and Eden Prime. This was seemingly completely discarded in ME3 as well.

They basically forced my Shepard to learn to love everyone and be diverse which I didn't like. Especially when it came to AI.
