What's so bipolar about all this is because when he said he was gonna delete discord in that PM exchange with one of the Kiwis, he proceeded to drag his foot on it, pout, and draw attention to himself.

And since we're on this topic, Salazar and Franco are portrayed as man-children in this mod. I don't have any screenshots, but there are events where they physically fight and verbally abuse each other over dumb disputes, despite the fact that Franco was a veteran general and Salazar was an overly formal intellectual. These are probably the best examples of character misrepresentation in TNO.

But it could have been worse, I guess. They could have went for a gay romance vibe, which makes me wanna shoot myself by just thinking about it.

i remember when i was playing as italy (big mistake and waste of time with the current state of italy) when salazar and franco talk during the conference they begin and finish each others sentences during their speech that the writers themselves describe as awful. i was reading the event and just thinking to myself ''why would you portray one of my two regional competitors as awkward highschool children that fail at making their presentation interesting?''. i couldnt take the turkish leader seriously because he quite literally has the face of a rat and the guy that manuevered himself both politically and militarly through the spanish civil war and came out on top is played as a joke in my only interaction with him.

i did like the idea of designing my own brand of fascism as scorza but there really isnt much there beyond clicking focuses and watching algeria getting taken away because im not allowed to send my military to the colony that is right next to me and quite literally connected by land to my empire.

You're supposed to focus your entire resources on a single separatist movement at a time and destroy one-by-one. You also have to hope for the German/American AI to take the operations that give Iberia more resources and to get the events that increase the popularity of whatever leader you need to complete decisions in the best way possible (because if you don't, you lose stability)

If you choose to be more Salazar aligned in your Iberia campaign, you are pretty much always going to die because of the Salazar death event that you cannot prepare for unless you use save-scumming or just know to not choose Salazar when possible.

Italy's campaign is buggy as hell from my experience and I think it's easy to see why they're reworking it.
The influence system is broken;
You will always lose your colonies no matter what you do;
The Algerian War can bug out, with the Italian Algeria's troops simply vanishing at the start of the war;
And despite being of the major powers, Italy feels like an irrelevent punching bag that gets beaten up by every direction with nothing you can do to stop it.

So, with HoI 4 becoming nothing more than a dribbling shithole filled with trannies and commies, I have to ask an offtopic question: is there any detailed resource to learn how to mod? I'm a boomer that hates youtube videos of some Indian guy telling me how computers work with a passion but I always wanted to make a mod just to fuck around. Are there any webpages besides the wiki, or is it better to just jump into the files and learn how to mod by fucking around until something Road to 41 56-esque comes out?
