Now Marvel Ruins She-Hulk; Could Foreshadow MCU

The latest garbage from Marvel Comics happens to be the new look for She-Hulk, which just might foreshadow the version coming to the MCU.

February's issue of Avengers #42 features the following version of She-Hulk, which looks more like He-Hulk.




Of course in the comics, She-Hulk is more known for being a parodic take on the Hulk and was only created by Stan Lee so Marvel would own the copyright to the character as it was thought the Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno TV series was going to introduce a female version of the Hulk so Marvel beat them to the punch (no pun intended).

She-Hulk is probably most associated with the John Byrne run who used She-Hulk in a satirical way and even had the character break the fourth wall like Deadpool. The Byrne run included issue #34 where She-Hulk is featured on the cover looking pregnant, similar to that Demi Moore cover of Vanity Fair, and issue #40 had what looks like a nude She-Hulk jumping rope (see below).



Of course, we can't have any of that anymore in the Marvel Comics, and sure as heck, you can bet Kevin Feige won't feature anything remotely similar in the MCU Disney Plus series.

What can we expect from She-Hulk in the MCU? Well, the series has been described as a legal comedy, so more than likely it will feature Jen Walters as a lawyer cracking jokes about working in a male-dominated society and getting mad at a bunch of bad guys.

WandaVision cracked jokes about making dishes, so expect something similar from She-Hulk, and it's already known writers on the series are anti-male. Mark Ruffalo is also rumored for the series, so expect his goofy version to fit right in with the goofy MCU She-Hulk.

That's more her turning into an ugly monster like the Hulk and not trooning out. In the new She-Hulk panel they don't go for monster, they try to include some attractive physical features it's just that those features have never been associated with women.

Exactly, the whole point of showing her as a hulk with breasts was to reinforce how She-Hulk is this "idealized" version of the hulk, attractive, strong, smart...and how she was giving in to the monster side. Pretty symbolic.

What we have nowadays is her grotestic monster side and trying to convince the writer that this is not only is for the better but its "sexier" than the original She Hulk design.

If you take the politics out of this then all they did was turn she-hulk into regular hulk. I don't care about cape shit but from a writer/artist perspective the change is pretty fucking embarrassing and whoever's idea this was should be fired solely just to keep someone with such a blatant lack of talent from working on anything that could even be remotely deemed artistic.
Then again, being a talentless hack is probably how they got their job at modern Marvel in the first place.

She-Hulk's been miss handled because Aaron wanted to use the Hulk in his Avengers, but was told that Ewing wanted to do the Immortal Hulk as some kinda crazy horror story.

So he used She-Hulk, but basically turned her into the Hulk instead and tries to go and say: It's better this way! Look! She even says she's free to be ugly!

When all anyone actually wants is the regular She-Hulk back.

The audience they're courting doesn't buy comics, they go to Scans Daily. The people that buy comics, want regular she-hulk back.
