This is more true then it seems, like most of the dwarves in the Hobbit exist purely so Tolkien could have some childish fun with their names. (Which is why they are named as they are) and have some jokes with them arriving early on, which is essentially Act one of the actual book. the presence of a lot of them, in the book is just mostly ignored, they are 'there' but not really. there was no need to keep them in the forefront. If you wanted to keep them in the movie, have the dwarves move in two groups or something.

Quinton appears to have deleted the full Citizen Kane video, which is too bad. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this earlier, but the video was the first known interaction between MauLer and Rags, meaning Quinton is partly responsible for EFAP.

The video gave Quinton ammo against MauLer, owing to MauLer's initial passive aggressive responses and then chimping out when more negative comments were made about him. MauLer demonstrated how thin-skinned he is, but Quinton failed to capitalize because he handles drama as well as MauLer handles criticism.

I feel like this drama has mostly died down ever since Quinton stopped ignoring MauLer (and Quinton has gotten involved in much juicier drama), but it always lingers because MauLer will never let it go and Quinton will keep trying to avoid the subject instead of squashing it.

They are total grifters whose entire career revolves around Star Wars et al. even more than Lucasfilms and Disney does. The media equivalent of Tim Pool. MauLer is not even that bad in a way, because at least he doesn't talk about these things every other day. Instead he talks about what other people have said for 8 hours every other week. That's why I don't really think we should talk about them in this thread unless it directly relates to EFAP, since they are an entirely different game than them.

The fact he's specifically singling out SWT is pretty shitty considering his battle with cancer as a child and how much Star Wars and Luke meant to him then. I think it's completely understandable why he'd be so moved about Disney trying to rectify their mistakes with the Luke Skywalker character and bringing him more in line with what people wanted instead of just stubbornly hanging on to what was clearly not a good idea. It's the fact that they were targets that he went after and he had extended interactive drama that he 'won'. Now most of his targets seems to have learned to ignore him, give or take a few. I managed to save these comments before the video was taken down, which includes MauLer's response to Quinton's Doctor Who remark. Unfortunately, I was not able to get Rags' comment from the same chain, which was him saying Quinton's parody can't be good if he had to explain it. This created a misconception with the EFAP crowd that Quinton took down the video because it was confusing his fans, when, of course, he really took it down because of his inability to handle drama.

Also, since this was pre-Joker drama, I don't think "Jenny Nicholls" was intentional. MauLer called her that in his TLJ critique too.

No one's going to put Quinton on a pedestal because he delusionally thinks he's above drama, so he doesn't know how to react when he's caught up in drama he typically starts. Like I mentioned above, Quinton tries ignoring his drama instead of defending himself. What he thinks will make the drama die down quicker instead prevents him from getting his side out and turns more people against him.

I'm sure a lot of MauLer's detractors would agree with Quinton's points on him if they were coming from anyone else, but because he's Quinton, he makes it impossible to take his side. His comments against MauLer are lost in the context that Quinton is calling him out after refusing a discussion with him. It's bad enough that Quinton continues to talk shit about someone he's too scared to speak to directly, but it's made worse by Quinton not even having the balls to do it on his own channel - it was hidden in a now ex-friend's video.

MauLer's temper tantrum over the Joker drama he initiated was embarrassing, but by defending himself, he was able to save face and make his fans believe he wasn't at fault. That's why his thread is still off-topic, while Quinton is now gracing the front page of the farms.

It's honestly a bit impressive how Mauler, being the one that constantly instigates conflict amongst reviewers, is way less of a cow than the too eager to please anti-transphobic faggot that is Quinton Reviews.
