He deals with the question of piracy before rejecting piracy in all forms as wrong and you should just unsubscribe to Disney plus nine months out of the year...
As much as I loathe to defend Zack, this is not what he actually said:
So Zack is saying that if he wasn't a professional reviewer, he would be all for pirating but there are the following reasons he personally doesn't:Hmm, no, no that is some, you are literally supporting Antifa types and now I was always against piracy and luckily for me I've got a rich friend who buys one copy of every single thing. So I'm just going to borrow that from him.
But if you're not having YouTube review channel, pirate everything. Everything! Pirate everything because they are going to use the money you give them to hurt you, not just to make woke crap that you can watch or not watch but to actively hurt anyone, to destroy anyone who doesn't have the one single set of beliefs you are allowed to have without being destroyed. So like I said, I had some hot takes. I personally as a reviewer, I cannot pirate stuff, but if you notice I'm reviewing all a lot less Marvel I used to do one or two Marvel books day now I do one or two a week and there's less and less stuff. DC used to be kind of okay but DC just fricking decided that they were going to promote what was her name, I forget her name.... LL McKinney who literally said she refused to work with anyone who is not of her same race and they put that in every single DC comic. So I'm saying flat out pirate Disney, pirate Star Wars, pirate Marvel, pirate DC. I don't do it. I have a rich friend who buys one copy of every single thing that exists and he lets me borrow his stuff, he's a cool friend, but why would you support something that's literally out there to destroy you?
- He is legally obligated to pay for the material he reviews as reviewing is a part of his business
- A "rich friend" (probably Biggons) who buys two of everything lends him a copy of things to review, maybe also his wife (this last part is speculation on my part).
- He doesn't know of any good piracy sites that won't poz his computer anyway because he's a boomer
In other news, there was a CG catfight, but rather than Vikki vs Martina like we all thought, it turned out to be Mandy vs. Piper
02/11/2021 - MANDY SUMMERS - THE GIRL WHO CRIED WOLF
Mandy Summers has assembled her regular co-hosts and co-creators Wyatt Holliday and Peter Gilmore for a very special show tonight. Mandy says that she is mortified, embarrassed and nauseated at having to address this topic, which given that these are emotions that should follow every Mandy show must be really saying something. Gilmore gives a thumbs up in solidarity. "There has been some bullshit abouts y'all" the Wart the Wizard creator says eloquently, and it's about to be addressed - prefaced by explaining that she would rather do anything than publicly address drama, a sentiment echoed strongly by Gilmore who wishes people would just "fuck off" with all this shit and let him draw Wart the Wizard comics in peace. Wyatt Holiday mumbles in a disheveled hoodie something about "trynna make comics... just trynna make comics..." Wyatt doesn't say much after this point.
All of this serves to build suspense about what this topic actually is. Knowing Mandy, this could be about any number of things involving sexual blackmail, cripples, Warcampaign's discord, or lewds on the internet. At 5 minutes in the "drama" is finally specified - the unexplained discontinuation of CG Ladies Night and the decline of the Graded Point Five creative/youtube team behind Peregrine: Wings of the Falcon. For those of you unfamiliar, "CG Ladies Night" was a show Mandy put together on the counsel of @FROG to get all the CG e-girls on a single stream and consolidate the simp demographic into a single hopefully watchable program. I wrote about it in more in depth here for anyone curious. Both CG Ladies Night and Graded Point Five have ceased operation in recent months because of "in-house fighting" according to Mandy, the subject of which was not to be discussed. The culprit is, of course coozy apostate and former CG Ladies Night and Graded Point Five member Piper, who got trashed the previous night as she does and violated the informal NDA between all parties.
For months, according to Mandy, Piper has been mumbling vagueries and unnamed inferences about why she is no longer associated with either group, clearly directed at Mandy and fellow CG Lady Charlie's London, but it was only last night that Mandy's name came out of Piper's mouth. Peter describes a scenario of behind-the-scene gayoppers constantly DMing information on Piper's doings and him not giving a shit and wishing they'd stop. Mandy promises to make the issue "as clear as possible" by laying how a shit Comicsgate meme was what destroyed CG Ladies' Night:
In Piper's defense, this abomination of a meme (covered in full depth here under 'Twitterverse' by top CG investigator @Smug Freiza ) is a matroshka doll of cringe, a manifold of circlejerking, misunderstanding of source material ("the Seven" being a story of idolized heroes who proved themselves corrupt and totally unworthy of the power they were handed) and subversion of what was once a consumer advocacy movement to worshiping some youtube e-celebs who aren't even Comicsgate. Mandy still doesn't understand how anyone could find it objectionable, she's just glad it didn't involve a cock going into her mouth like the ones from Warcampaign. The meme creator in question demanded his shit e-celeb meme be respected by Piper because he's a customer, who refused. To this Wyatt and Gilmore add that they ceased all contact with Piper after she dared criticize the meme. There was some noise in the "Ladies Room" DM group, where Piper was complaining about it in private and felt betrayed that no one else had her back (it's unclear whether this was when Gilmore and Wyatt ceased contact or prior). Wyatt Holliday theorizes Piper's objections were based on jealousy that she was not included on this quality meme, and Mandy heaps more criticism upon Piper for failing to apologize to the memer.
Next is this group DM of Piper giving her effective resignation from the CG e-girl dream team on September 5th, which Mandy says was the last communication she had with Piper. After this communications ceased, while Piper continued to decry the unspecified "them" on twitter, blog posts and her youtube show in what Mandy describes as cries for attention for Piper and her Amazon wishlist, shaking her chest at the camera in impersonation.
At twenty minutes in the final member of the CG Ladies' Night team, Charlie's London joins the show and she "has something she'd like to say" (this exact phrase always precedes a Charlie tirade). Sheis quite cranky, it being two in the morning her time and having buried her cat Sam earlier in the day; she wonders why her friend Mandy is being dragged into this after all efforts have been made to leave Piper alone. "It's hard enough having a pair of tits in this industry without all this crap!!" Charlie says, and the talk about CGUK conspiring to destroy Piper are totally baseless. Charlie melodramatically begs Piper as a fellow animal lover, if she is listening, to show some decency and compassion by please ceasing with these horrible accusations, stop talking about her and let her mourn her deceased cat. Charlie proposes negotiations with Piper with a neutral moderator.
After this is the matter with the Graded Point Five crew, Mandy describes how "Chief Justice Optimus" tried to resolve it and went to an "unnamed third party" which resulted in Piper being under the impression that her collaborators sold her shittalk in their DM group out (Mandy contends Piper "outed herself"). Charlie and Mandy reiterate that there is no conspiracy between CGUK and Graded Point Five against Piper.
Now word has come to Mandy and Charlie that Piper is starting her own CG Ladies' Night, that Piper had the gall to invite Mandy to join. "CG Ladies Night" is the intellectual property of Mandy Summers that she cancelled out of concern for Piper's feelings. Charlie recounts the decline in viewership on her own channel after ending the programs that involved Piper, slyly segueing to her openness to mending fences and streaming with her once again.
"Oh hi Piper! We're naming names now!"
At 34 minutes in Piper appears in the chat. Charlie asks her to come on the show. Mandy's clear concern is that Piper's drunken musings are persuading her fans not to back Wart the Wizard: Return to the Chamber of Echoes. This return to the CG classic has only gathered 41 backers for some strange reason and clearly the Summers team believe there to be a correlation with Piper's 6 hour drunkstreams with 10-14 live viewers on at any time.
Was Piper truly responsible for the drop in repeat business for Wart?
Peter Gilmore speaks up finally, saying that all this drama is resulting in less sales for Wart the Wizard which means she's fucking with his money, so stop it. It appears that fear of the wrath of Piper's army is shared by Graded Point Five, as Charlie says apropos nothing that nobody should refund Peregrine either.
Charlie calls out to the wayward Piper, saying there are people out there that are using her and her good nature to peddle their bollocks and that "you've got a home on the right side of CG! You get your ass back to it!!". I for one was looking forward to Charlie's theories on Good and Evil Comicsgate, but Peter Gilmore interrupts to yell "Who?!" in response to a non-highlighted chat from Piper claiming she was told she was not to talk to Mandy, Charlie or their associates. Mandy demands evidence from Piper saying she said anything along those lines or stop talking about them.
@TESTEFY-HD has his own interpretation of where Piper went wrong, blaming DarkGift Comics for leading Fyzzgiggidy down the path of being a "Fandom Reject", but Mandy seems surprisingly unconcerned with the Etsies given the backlash Piper received for sporting a TrashCompactor coozie. She adds that everyone knows they're there to drag everyone into their shit and that's fine, but this concerns her business. Gilmore offers himself as a go-between if she doesn't want to talk to anyone else but Mandy isn't having it - she's been talking to the Graded Point Five team for six months and gotten nowhere: she wants to talk to Piper directly. This is where things start to click. Mandy issues an ultimatum where Piper can join the stream and answer for herself instead of proxies or go back to her channel and continue talking shit about her being a bully and how everyone is out to get her.
Charlie, perhaps from a position of greater financial security, seems more open to reconciliation with Piper like a runaway teenager who needs to come home vs Mandy, who mocks Piper for being unemployed and needing a victim narrative so she can live off more simp bucks, followed by declaring that this is all getting ugly so she's going to close this stream.
Meanwhile...
Charlie says that real friends tell their friends when they fucked up and they want to help you, and want you to do the right thing. Piper needs to sort herself out and think about what she's doin'. Gilmore endorses the call for dialogue. Mandy says that she wouldn't be doing this if she wasn't reading in Piper's chat old customers of hers vowing they wouldn't buy her product ever again, and for the record she hasn't blackmailed anybody, she has yet to blackmail artist for nudes, so if Piper wants to talk this out among friends privately, she's more than welcome to. And with that Mandy promptly shuts down and privates the stream.
Conclusion
Wart the Wizard 2 isn't doing that well on IndieGogo. Rather then consider that it may be related to the 28 CG projects launched in January, Mandy was persuaded to think it was Piper's drunkstreaming to ten people that resulted in her having 41 sales. Piper for her part apparently is unable to keep her simps at arm's length which has resulted in one of those ten viewers of her show to meticulously watch these six hour streams and report everything to Mandy and Peter Gilmore. I personally suspect the culprit to be someone the Graded Point Five team (who have been associated with Piper long before Comicsgate was a thing) as they appear to have interjected themselves as a intermediary in the dispute, misrepresented the situation to both parties involved and their own program fell apart completely without Piper's presence to bring them together in united simping. This wouldn't be the first time Piper has had personal boundary problems with her "fans" either:
