Bam is a douche, sober or drunk/high. But at least when he was sober his douchiness was endearing.

I was listening to a podcast where they were interviewing Novak and another guy from the CKY crew, where they were talking about Bam. Back in the CKY days, Bam was strongly against drinking and using drugs. They recalled one time when Raab Himself went to Bam's house, completely shitfaced, and Bam punched him the face the next morning.

I’ve talked about this in my friend groups. What I think they should do is get some new guys involved. Younger guys who’d be able to take punishment better. The OG crew could still be involved, but they’d be taking a backseat to pass the torch. They could call it “Jackass: The Next Generation” or something. Fans would of course get into fights about whether or not the new people would be worthy, but that’s always the case in these situations.

Knoxville’s like 50, though. If he’s not he’s pretty close to it. And the rest of them are getting up there too. They shouldn’t be doing this shit. Might break a hip.

It always seemed to me as though the Jackass guys back in their prime had literally planned on doing the movies until one of them dropped dead. Fresh after the death of Ryan Dunn, they appeared intent on never going any further with it—after all, these guys aren't immortal, and a franchise built on injuring yourself for laughs is only sustainable for so long.

Which does me wonder how things would have gone had it not been for his untimely passing. We definitely would have gotten Jackass 4 a lot sooner, that's for sure. And maybe (just maybe) Bam wouldn't have been at least 25 percent of the wreck he is now.

I think most were smart enough to know the whole jackass body torture stunt shit was really only something that could float in the early 2000s especially when youtube became big and you could find that shit everywhere and much more brutal

I’m pretty sure that’s what they’re doing. I know that Zackass guy who gets kicked in the nuts for a living (a la ow my balls from idiocracy) and a couple of the guys from king of the road are going to be in it. I’m not sure who else but from the conversations I’ve eavesdropped upon I got the impression it’s going to be lots of young blood.
