Honestly, I can get 'loving' your fans/being grateful for them and wanting to let them know that. But saying 'i love you' outright like that.. I don't think I've heard any other youtuber do that before, genuinely. I'll give it to Dream, he was in the right with the "war cry" situation. Tyler was trying to make something out of nothing, and even if Dream had apologized to his original "respectful and calm" thread that I doubt exists, he still would've gone forward attacking Dream. Val's response to Dream's apology only fuels my point, even though I'm pretty sure she'd just say "it was a joke" if she ever got called out for it.

That’s the thing, I don’t think he gives a fuck. He’s saying what he knows his fans want to hear, looking at how he and his friends all tweet the same stuff at the same time and the manipulative AS FUCK blm shit they did very recently (someone was shot like December and he made a tweet (maybe that was the voice note in question, it’s been a while and I refuse to listen to it again) and then his friends (sapnap) tweeted the news article “like omg people getting murdered over their skin colour in this day and age, I’ve taken the time to educate myself today I am disgusted we all need to fight etc etc” and the blatant use of all the trendy terminology and buzzwords that the woke love to use - this isn’t new to them. They know exactly how to get a good response from their base, stans are woke by nature and when you have that type of fandom they will defend you to the extreme as long as you toe the line. It’s a very useful thing to have.

There’s just no fucking way they’re all genuinely putting those opinions out there for no other reason than they care deeply about fictional racism. BTW: I can’t remember which black guy it was that got shot, but we all know the usual bullshit where the media straight up lies or ignores WHY they got shot as long as they can make it a race issue - so I’ll assume it’s the same with that one and if not, point remains. The whole thing creeps me out, it’s far beyond a boyband member saying he loves his fans all the time because of the availability of youtubers and friendship simulators.

TLDR virtue signalling to feed into their cult of personality. Not just Dream, his friend circle too.

Side note, Mr Beast and Dream were my guilty pleasure channels and ever since this dream drama showed how much of a fag they ALL are I can’t stand them. I have a zero tolerance pronouns in bio policy.

Somehow, despite not following anybody on Twitter even tangentially related, this bled through to my twitter feed, and while this John guy did certainly fuck up, dream is painting the "damage" in such a shitty fucking light and is either consciously or subconsciously influencing his audience to dogpile this guy over stupid shit that shouldnt have even been brought up.

Swan acts like this whenever he gets into a disagreement with someone, it's extremely petty and gay. He'll engage in a fifty-tweet long thread with a fucking gimmick account for, and I quote, "posting cringe." And then he'll go over the entire argument on a supposed editing stream as if it was a case study.

That being said, I can hardly blame him for doing this in regards to dream, as, like you said, his stanbase is cancer-aids and could potentially blow this out of proportion if he doesn't jump on it when it's at 20 likes. Doesn't make him any less of an effeminate drama queen for going on until 3 in the morning, but he does seem to have a sizeable amount of support so I suppose it's worked out for him?
