Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

4k77 and 4k83 are beautiful. A little grainy at times but that's not offputting to me at all
I check up on 4k80 regularly and it looks like they just finished Reel 3 and have two reels left to go before it's finished

Geez talk about overkill. They do realize that doing this will only increase the demand and value for these things right? Also how long until Disney edits the Mando episodes to remove Gina like they did Commander Jeans?

The Kathleen Kennedy Kut:

Speaking of Kennedy, she did an Oscars video celebrating women in technology and media yesterday.
Oh the irony of it all. Video's been downvoted to Hell and the comments are all just bashing her.

Also on the topic of all this special edition stuff. George should've released both versions together to avoid the least amount of controversy. And while I can appreciate what the SE tried to do in concept, certain things in the special edition really didn't belong while others were notable improvements. Like fixing up sfx errors or trying to add more to the setting. But to get specific, showing more of Mos Eisly was a nice touch, especially when most of it was based on unused ideas and a galaxy guide map, however adding a dewback into the middle of a frame was really pointless and upsets the flow of the scene. And as for restoring Jabba's deleted scene, it was a nice touch and impressive (cgi Jabba design aside) but at the same time I don't think it was well thought out and even the final take on Jabba still doesn't look much like Jabba. I think it would've been best to simply replace Jabba/Declan Mulholland with a protocol droid transmitting Jabba's voice or a rotund spider droid projecting a hologram of him.

Its all relatively minor things. But the things that definitely needed to go for me were Ben's new Krayt Dragon roar+R2's rocks in ANH, Luke screaming as he falls in ESB and Vader's NOOOOO in ROTJ. Jedi Rocks gets a lot of hate but I think it deserves to stay but maybe as a different scene altogether that doesn't replace Lapti Nek. Also as someone here said, increasing the number of Rebel ships would be nice, and I would've liked it if they had taken the chance to maybe restore some other deleted concepts from ESB and ROTJ, specifically in ESB McQuarrie and others imagined Bespin as having a few atmospheric creatures and thranta riders, and Endor (which I showcased before) as having a few neat visuals like a fishing village/dock in a river/lake and restoring the Ewok flying mounts from concept art which they could've used against the Empire:

B...but the science and womens! its almost as if being an activist that shits on other, unrelated things damages the issue you claim to be advocating! :smug:

You mean the Silver Screen edition? They're still floating around.

I dont know, I was 8 years old and renting Star Wars from Blockbusters.

Jabba in ANH was completely unnecessary, we already got all the information we needed from Greedo. Han owes some big gangster named Jabba money, Jabba's patience has run out. Jabba wants his money or he wants Han dead, either one is fine. The Jabba scene does nothing other than actually show Jabba in the CGI flesh and give us a glimpse of BOBER FETT OMG IT'S BOBER FETT! I REMEMBER BOBER FETT! HAN SO LUCKY IT WAS GREEDO AND NOT BOBER FETT IN THE CANTINA RITE?! IT COULDA BEEN BOBER FETT AND THEN WHO WOULD TAKE LUKE AND OBI-WAN TO ALDERAAN?! THE REBELLION COULD'VE DIED THEN AND THERE IF IT HAD BEEN BOBER FETT! BOBER FETT!!!!!!111111oneoneoneone~

EDIT: And that scene gives the lie to 'Lucas' constant changes to the OT while he still owned it was just making what was on the screen match with what George's vision had been all along.' Boba Fett wasn't in George's vision all along. He was created for the Christmas special. Some of his character elements were taken from early concepts of Vader. There was no Boba Fett back in the days when George was writing the Journal of the Whills or whatever the fuck it's called, or when the script for ANH was being written, or at any point before production of the Christmas special. Fett was put in the ANH SE for 2 seconds purely because he became very popular among the fans. The 8000 different versions of the OT were just late 80s/90s Lucas being a sperg making decisions based on what he felt was 'his vision all along' at the time.

fingers crossed that it goes for the 'most disliked video on Youtube' crown with Youtube Rewind 2018 lol
8k now. I doubt it'll hit Rewind numbers unless the video really starts trending. But this will easily hit 40k dislikes at this rate. Still surprised the video's likes are still only at double digits at around 80. Where are all those brave Twitter warriors who usually come to Disney's defense and came to fight on High Republic's behalf when it got dislike bombed?

Good God. I don't want to hear her other again talk about women empowerment in star wars. After firing Gina. She can fuck off.

Someone forgot to trip their K-pop hypno-indoctrination sequences, I'm sure Disney will get right on it once it gets rolling though.

More trash incoming, for anyone who actually believed widening the scope of developers allowed to make Star Wars games would change anything
From the makers of Farmville and Wizard of Oz Magic Match!
Oh golly gee I'm just oozing with optimism.

If I remember right, after Disney stopped giving a shit about their SW Commander mobile game, they handed over control of it to Zynga which ended up with the game getting canned about a year later.
