We don't have subsidized housing on top of that & if she managed to get into subsidized housing, (10 year waiting list in Ottawa), she'd lose the $475 'shelter allowance from her check or be allowed just enough of that for utilities, leaving her $797/month for everything else. If your housing costs more than your shelter allowance, (& it does everywhere in the province), tough tits.

She's allowed to either earn or be gifted up to $200 a month before it affects her check. Anything over that, she loses 50 cents on the dollar.

Forget a vet for her cats - can't afford it. Forget fast food, a vehicle, clothing or wants. You don't have enough for needs & every month you decide if you need that pair of shoes more or a coat. Throwing out old running shoes? Salvage the insole & laces. You might manage 1 good meal a day - cooked from scratch from sale items. You use food banks.

Case workers have access to to your banking info, your tax info & anything else financial & no, they don't take your word for it. Want to use your credit card? You need permission from your case worker.

Chantal is way better off on YouTube because on ODSP, the weight is just going to melt off & she won't be able to afford hobbies. Bye bye Netflix & other subscription services. Canada Pension Plan isn’t disability, it’s for Canadians over 65. Ontario Disability Support Program isn’t based on income or contributions, just disability status for approval and number of dependants/household size for amount. It’s still very little income, but I think she would qualify at this point with pretty much every organ throwing in the towel.

CPP can also be accessed before age 65 if you're permanently disabled.

Chantal's problem here is that she's barely worked a day in her life, so anything like CPP (which is roughly analogous to Social Security for Americans) that relies on you having contributed to the program, isn't going to net her much. Provincial programs don't necessarily look at past income, but they're minimal amounts as well. Unless she's had a proper accountant all these years and she's proactively paid her CPP amounts (highly doubtful) then she's SOL. I suspect she hasn't filed taxes -- correctly or incorrectly -- in over a decade.

All of this is moot, though, because she's still able to work -- she supported herself through YouTube in the past and she's technically able to do that now. These programs aren't for people who are working but who aren't making the same money they used to. They're for people who cannot work due to age or disability. She'd have a very hard time making the case she's too disabled to work when she's a fulltime YouTuber and lists that as her job to anyone who'll listen. She would have to show that her disability has robbed her of the ability to turn on a camera and eat for superchats, and that's a hard sell.

Although I think it was the seal on her mask that broke, if it was the machine itself, that is truly a problem. They don't just hand those machines out unless you are willing to pay about $1200 - 1500 out of pocket. Usually you have to go through the whole process of seeing if you fall under coverage with the Assisted Devices Program and that requires a recent prescription from a doctor. ADP usually only covers machines every 5 years so since Chantal abuses herself and everything else, if she willingly lets her equipment get that far, she deserves to waste her money. Also I apologize for just saying "the government". I know where my tax money is going, and if I could believe me, she would not be getting fuck all from it. We all suffer paying out for this cunt.

I don't disagree with you to an extent, but in Chantal's case this shit goes back to childhood. They did, like it or not, play a role in what she evolved into. That certainly doesn't mean they bear responsibility for her behavior as an adult, but their enabling is still part of the problem. They need to nut up and they won't because that would require some mental toughness and introspection, traits no one in Chinny's bloodline seem to possess.
