The absolute suicidal seething over some BOOBA in Smash is pretty funny. What isn't going to be funny is when these people finally brow beat developers into making every vidya character a fat balding trannie. These "people" love to throw around the word incel while they're so desperate, alone and disgusting themselves that they've resorted to attacking the fictional characters that the lowest tier of men on earth admire either out of jealous spite or some desperate delusion that if the "male gaze" can't fall on some voluptuous pixels they'll finally get some romantic attention. I think publishers have realised a couple of heshes crying on twitter won't hurt their bottom line (it probably helps it actually) while kowtowing will. The gaming outlets that kept up with this stuff went all orange man bad and even further sunk their relevance. You can tell a lot of what publishers and companies put out there is just playing lip service to these types while making whatever "problematic" product they think will sell best.

I wish I could be that positive but there's too many industry people posting there and they can form a pretty large mob. Didn't someone afew hundred pages back make a Twitter thread about why REEEEEEEra is a serious problem? Don't forget that Sony is censoring the fuck out of things, lots of designs are being toned down (GG Strive for example), Microsoft cucked recently (Gal Gun Returns on XBone got cancelled), Steam just banned some more anime games, and somehow NINTENDO is the last bastion of lewdness, a company that was the pinnacle of censorship only a few years ago. I have my worries.

You seem to be confusing "cultural trends" with "book burnings". At the same time all of this alleged throttling of sexiness is happening, I can go on Twitter and find more porn than my randy old grandpa could have ever dreamed of within five minutes- and half of it will be of the "dommy mommy vamp" in RE8, who I notice is still in all the trailers and demo and still has very prominent cleavage and ass despite much REEEing from the usual suspects.
Sexy women are inherently appealing- so are sexy men. But not everything needs to be constant rampant sexuality in the same way that not everything needs to be censored prudish plop. Steam still has a plethora of sex games, some of which are actually good- a few being banned isn't the end of the world, and bluntly, Steam sweeps random shit off of its store all the time, occasionally without regard for quality (cue yells about salami slicing- cutting a head off of a hydra isn't going to kill it). Feel as "worried" as you want, but I'm not concerned- in the wider context of culture, the things you're talking about are very very small.

Make no mistake, Liam Robertson may be delusional (pretty sure he thought he could strong-arm the DoA guys for some non-PC reason or the like a few years back), but he's trying to do some damage here. Rowling is essentially untouchable to these cretins, so they're either going after anyone else who is illegible for the PR-firing hammer, or delegitimize Hogwart's Legacy as a whole.

What's more about the entire thing is that this is coming a full 2 years after notable activity on Leavitt's channel and from Liam fucking Robertson. Game "journalists", whom increasingly just seem to be just-about literate shills who used to "network" at E3, are now going after people who've actually been educated and worked for years in gaming.

They want you out, so that they can hollow it out and run away with the maximum amount of scraps their mediocrity/shit can garner. See: The comics industry.
