Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all "Eurocentric" beauty standards hail from India? For example, the entire caste system that is originally from India has spread throughout almost the whole of Asian and Europe. Light skin is considered to be a status of wealth whereas dark skin means a labourer. Even now, it's not uncommon to see Asian ladies with umbrellas on very sunny days to keep their skin as light as possible.

I get not liking commercials or having your favorite songs ruined by them and so on, but there's something off about a bunch of self-hating white liberal boomers whining about cultural heritage whilst they let simultaneously shove diversity and censorship down our collective throats.

There's also the fact that the song used in the commercial, Pete Seeger's "Hard Times in the Mill" was written as a form of protest against big business. The song was all about the struggles of working in a factory with harsh working conditions, with lyrics like "Every morning just at five, gotta get up, dead or alive" and "The section hand, standing' at the door, ordering the sweepers to sweep up the floor" conveniently being left out of the commercial. I'm just saying, you would think the anti-capitalists on the Left would be all over Volvo for this kind of hypocrisy.

Every race is racist within it's own system. Hispanic people look down on the darker skinned ones. Asians look down on those who are darker than them. Black people themselves have been known to use the "paper bag" test. Meaning, if you're darker than the paper bag, you're a nigger.

Think of the Rwandan genocide. Anyone who was deemed "pale" or "whitish" was hacked up into pieces, whether they were a Tusti or not.
