He's already 3 years into his 10 year plan he promised his mommy. 7 years left for you to find a real job, pig.

Not only has he made no progress, but he's worst off now technically since he declared bankruptcy. He's already 3 years into his 10 year plan he promised his mommy. 7 years left for you to find a real job, pig.
It's been estimated that at his peak (2010-2012), Phil was making around double what he is now, so figure between $200k and $250k on a yearly basis, and that was just from YouTube (he was also accepting donations "behind the scenes"). That's the only time Phil has ever felt "comfortable" about his finances, and he still saved fucking nothing. He didn't even have anything to show for it aside from a small apartment packed to the brim with statues for him to cum on. Then he moved into the gout mansion right at the time his popularity was in serious decline and racked up $150k in debts in 5 years. Phil's one and only plan is to ride this the rest of his life because it's been too good to him, financially. That and his personality has devolved to the point where he's incapable to holding onto a real job anymore.Fortunately for DSP he got in early enough to make bank during the infancy of youtube and streaming when yt were throwing bags of money around and sponsorships were handed out like candy (still kinda are tbh), unfortunately he got into it so early, that there wasn't enough empirical data to go off of of how to tread these new murky waters.
Dude is fucked and never had a backup plan. And here we are.

Imagine making that much money and not having a cent to show for it after all this time. No investment, no index funds, no IRA, nothing. It's no wonder he needs that gin and gambling. I'd want to escape that realization too. It's been estimated that at his peak (2010-2012), Phil was making around double what he is now, so figure between $200k and $250k on a yearly basis, and that was just from YouTube (he was also accepting donations "behind the scenes"). No family or friends, no greater education, no life experiences, no lasting memories, and no concrete plans for the future to work toward and look forward to.Imagine making that much money and not having a cent to show for it after all this time. Sounds like he saved up enough for the down payment on the WAkhando, but nothing beyond that. So it's just a different variation on poor financial planning.
He couldn't even refute the "naturally generated" comment, lmao
It's probably what pissed him off the most.He couldn't even refute the "naturally generated" comment, lmao
The day I receive confirmation that fast food is hiring employees of Phil Burnell's sterling ethic and consideration is the day I swear it off for life.Is never too late Phil I will fly to Renton and buy a Big Mac from you but please man get a fucking job
DSP made $250K/year during his Machinima days. He could have had his house and car paid off outright if he had ANY sense of financial responsibility. And the worst part about that is, saving for a down payment is the most rudimentary step a person can take. If that is all he's saved up for up to this point in his life then shame on him, and it probably is.
The funny thing is that those main story estimates are actually pretty conservative. If he sits and listens to every voiced conversation, ponders every decision like he's doing, then refers to chat for their input to see if it's the 'right' choice, that alone will pad his playthrough and make it even longer. Not to mention all the options for stats, skills, class building. I think we're in for a long, long ride.Hope you guys enjoy this playthrough because we got 40 hours minimum on this horseshit. Now uploading gameplay footage to DSPGaming!!
It's games like this that make me feel like he might go all the way through the game but then rage quit at the very end, despite the protests of his viewers and subs.I think we're in for a long, long ride.
If he finishes Divinity with JUST 40 more hours of "gameplay", then it'll be because "alotta peepul don't seem to be enjoying the stream" aka wagequit. Otherwise, this shit is going to take over 100 hours or moreView attachment 1942376

No way he'll finish this. Whatever HLTB says Phil will take twice as long. So 100 hours just for the main story, if the guide/hand holder he's following includes side quests you're looking at 200. This will quickly get moved to evening only streams and eventually pushed to the side and forgotten about. If he finishes Divinity with 40 more hours of "gameplay", then it'll be because "alotta peepul don't seem to be enjoying the stream" aka wagequit.
