Consoomers are described as Individuals who have no other personality trait than purchasing or obtaining the latest tech or entertainment product that doesn’t provide a siginificant improvement to their life or lifestyle without any care regarding the products quality or actual worth to them.

Consoomers will get overly excited and ecstatic over their favourite brand or product, their only personality trait being the fact that they indulge in popular media or popular products or brands, having little substance of their own.

An example of this would be Funko Pop collectors, people who spend Thousands of dollars on literal pieces of plastic in the shape of popular film or video game characters, just because they are in the shape of said characters, providing no actual benefit to the owners life other than burning a hole in their wallet.

Consoomers can come in a multitude of flavours, such as Video Game Related Consoomers, who spend thousands on collectors editions of games that come with pieces of worthless plastic junk all the way to those who only purchase certain products because the companies that produce them support their political beliefs, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream would be a perfect example of a product purchased by consoomers due to it’s political standing that provides Zero Actual Benefit to it’s Customers.

This thread is to discuss and display mindless consumerism at it’s finest, dumbfucks who will buy literally everything and anything and waste thousands on the most stupid shit because it has a certain brand or name attached to it, people who will give their left leg and arm to a brand just because it’s popular or mainstream, those who worship products or brands as a personality trait, for us all to laugh at and discuss.

If you’re a bit retarded and don’t still understand what a Consoomer is, this short video should give you some insight into the Consoomer culture.

Hit the nail on the head with Ben and Jerry's.

I doubt that people outside terminally online twitter, reddit, and tumblr addicts is really going to care their ice cream is "made by former prisoners" or that their employees are "all compensated under a union". It costs the same amount to get a giant tub of generic store brand ice cream as it does to get one serving of Ben and Jerry's at most grocery stores I've been too.

Don't forget the pretending to care about queer people every single June.

"We support Pride, now buy our shit."

He has a point though, you could buy store brand that entirely tastes the same and gives you a bigger portion, for the price of a shitty smaller portion of B&J’s
I can think of exactly one store brand for which this was accurate (and it was a store brand that was still attempting to appear premium)

If you’ve found that one store brand, then it’s evidence enough that you don’t always have to buy into brands such as B&J that’ll hike their prices up for a sub-par product just because it’s a known name / the woke consoomers buy into it, a majority of store brand no name stuff is basically the same as branded stuff unless you’re buying something extremely specific.

I'm far from a consoomer and especially not for a brand like B&J's but I do need to step in and say that their mix-ins are much better than any competitor's that I've tried.
Best thing I’ve ever done is buy generic vanilla and added my own mix ins and caramel, saved money and tasted like 20 times better than whatever you can buy premade.

Ben and Jerry's is higher than average quality, but at stores a 16 oz pint costs roughly the same as 1 and 1.5 qts, so something twice or three times the size. Also they're partnered with faggots like Steven Colbert and Jimmy Fallon.

A related topic to consoooming is when Millenials spend thousands of dollars a year on Funkos/Starbucks/iPhone iterations/regular trips to Disneyland/etc. and then bitch on how they have nothing in their savings and blame capitalism. Fiscal responsibility and planning is important yo, if you want to win in capitalism you need to leverage your capital not waste it on little plastic nothings that will end up in the ocean and choke a turtle in five years.

You say Millenials, but have you heard of Beanie Babies? Collecting junk simply to consume things has been with us since around the time the bulk of your Millenials were entering kindergarten.

Edit: I would like to add that I otherwise agree with you 100%.

I feel that the amount of millennials spending all of their savings on consooming is overly exaggerated by baby boomers, that don't want to accept the fact that they had it easier.
