The most interesting thing about this in my opinion is that, while suicide is an extremely selfish act that pushes years of suffering, grief, and guilt on the people around you, the majority of suicidal people are fully aware of this and hold a great deal of shame about it. It's why often times suicides completely blindside the people closest to them, because suicidal people often keep their suicidal ideation a deep, deep secret to try and mitigate the suffering they inflict on others. He got flak from people for doing that shit at VidCon. I remember him eventually freaking out at this person on Twitter. They were also at VidCon and didn’t buy into his bullshit and Boogie got all butthurt over them not falling for his manipulation.View attachment 1942045
With this in mind, it means one of two things:
1. Boogie is fully aware that if he were to commit suicide he'd be putting possibly hundreds of people in grief for the rest of their lives, and literally just doesn't care, hence his openness about his feelings.
or
2. Boogie isn't actually suicidal meaning he wouldn't cause the people around him all this grief he's fully upfront about, so he has no guilt about his actions.
Either way, I think in these situations it's best to be on the side of caution and view any suicidal intentions as sincere. As much of a Pariah as Boogie is, I genuinely hope he's able to dig himself out of his insanity some day and return to some form of normalcy.
