Chantal is a midget. For someone 4'11" to get to the same BMI, they'd have to be - wait for it - 450 lb.

Studies have shown that 3 days of a primarily liquid diet are sufficient to shrink and dry(this is just as important as a fatty liver is extremely slippery)the liver, regardless of BMI. Surgeons rely on patients to follow this diet honestly, because they don’t have the time to ultrasound everyone’s liver before surgery to ensure it’s of sufficient size. Obviously, the purpose of a liver-shrinking diet for laparoscopic abdominal surgery is to make it safe to use tools to hold the liver up and out of the way to work behind it. I’ve heard a few instances of surgeons opening up the patient, only to discover they hadn’t followed the diet because their livers were large and extremely slippery. In some of those cases, the surgeon closed the patient right back up without completing their surgery as it was too risky for the liver.
