on a more serious note. how is this surgery performed? it seems they take out breast tissue from the underside of the breast, which causes the really big scar. but. why do they slice off the nipples? do they have to remove tissue by going through the nipples?
i looked it up and mayo clinic shows a sort of textbook-style image of a woman post-mastectomy, and there's only one scar under where the breast was. why are the nipples in all these tranny surgeries so mutilated, it's really bothering me.

I don't know if I can properly articulate this, but when I imagine the actual process of a neovagina, I see it as having an astronomically high fail rate just on visuals alone, because of course it won't look right. It's a tunneling hole bored into the pelvis of something which was never meant to have one.
But when I imagine a neophallus, I imagine it's easier to actually getting it to look somewhat right. It's a wad of flesh like a lump of clay for you to mold, in a creepy meat sort of way. You can most likely shape it or apply some sort of color, something to make it look a bit more natural.
So when I see FtM's with what looks like a tube of pepperoni vaguely in the shape of a cylinder, it feels like the surgeon is playing some kind of joke or gave up halfway through surgery. It's not even like a butcher hacking away at their groins the way most neovagina's look. It just registers as the doctor being lazy, or they're aliens whose only reference for what a penis looks like is some text they read a few years ago.

tattooing on a neophallus makes it look... a bit better, i guess. definitely better than a neovagina. i'm not sure if this image was posted here before, but i'll post it here just to demonstrate the difference.
there's definitely something off about it, but it looks much better with the tattooing.
