I’d agree, if it weren’t for this line from the second blog post:

“I had graduated high school six months early and in my rush to become an adult and free myself from the oddity of my grandparents house I had fostered a relationship with a dear friend, in the course of this she had become pregnant”

By the time he graduated from high school and moved out, he was still living with his grandparents. So I don’t think there is much of a chance that he was adopted a second time. He does refer to Anahid as his “adoptive mother”, but then again, he also refers to himself as “Penelope”.

Honestly, if you immediately feel the urge to improve something about yourself when you're reading about half the cows on this forum, that's just a sign your basic cognitive functions still work.

Nikocado Avacado is a meme on 4chan's fitness board for a reason. It's half laughing at this fat butterball, and half motivation to do anything and everything that makes you more unlike him. Kevin's the same way.

This pretty much nails it. I think Penny's trooning out is a very unhealthy PTSD coping mechanism. Between childhood abuse, his experiences in the military and the breakdown of his marriage, his brain is probably pretty scrambled and he hasn't had any kind of proper mental health support. Hence his hatred of masculinity and penises in particular whilst still being a masculine guy with very masculine interests (trucks, guns, getting swole, ranching), his disavowal of sexuality altogether and his need for control over others. I've known a small number of people who were really into BDSM despite being pretty much asexual, and it all seemed to come down to rather unhealthy psychological needs - a need for control and dominance over others (doms) or a need to be someone else's responsibility (subs).

You can't have a healthy relationship that way, and Penny/Kev's relationship shows why. Kev's "sub" persona is less about wanting to be sexually dominated and more a desire to be "kept" so that he doesn't have to be an adult. Penny is a parental figure for Kevin but it's more so that Kev can regress mentally and not have adult responsibilities and just play with toys all day. Kevin failed as an adult and so wants to be a child. Penny, on the other hand, has always had key people in his life betray him, leave him or abuse him, so having Kev as his "slave" with a metal thingy locked around his neck makes it feel like that Kev won't leave him. It's much more of a parent/child relationship than a romantic partner one, especially as neither party has functional genitals or much of a sex drive (Kev's relentless thirstposting is mostly just cope as his libido ebbs away). That's why Penny lets Kev get away with being such a lazy leech, because to him (and to Kev) it would be like asking a small child to do ranching work.
