General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

LOL, Ame just admitted that the supposed "Among Us" collab she's been talking about in her Supa Sunday stream today is supposed to be an "off-the-books-getting-to-know-you-better" collab with some yet to be identified folks. Probably the ID girls and hopefully some of the more relatively English-"fluent" JP senpais. That's the reason why there isn't anything on anyone's stream schedule for tonight.

Ah, so that's what tweets on Ina is all about. If two of the talents make the same mistake, I have a feeling management being lazy and not being clear again.

I think she is dancing about it because it could include Holostar

Edit: and now the Tako bailed

Or it could just be a simple misunderstanding by the girls as is. I have no qualms about shitting on Hololive management when it's rightfully deserved but putting this on management being lazy is a bit of stretch.

I mean, it's the managers job to make it clear when they're doing this kind of stuff that was set up by the higher up. What's the point of having managers if the girls have to make sure with the board again what they're suppose to do? Not calling for their heads, but let me shit of them a bit.

I think the EN manager should have an account and avatar like A-Chan or the Holostars manager who actually answering fan question, I don’t see how’s we even need more

Is Utos copy of Doom doing that bug they had where it didn't allow you to play the campaign because the DLC bugged out or something?
Edit: Seems like she accidentally bought the DLC instead of the main game. Kinda want to see her try Ancient Gods before the main campaign to see if she can get through the first area though.

Nah, it turns out it wasn't supposed to be an on-screen collab, just holos getting together to play the game. Think of it as them doing a rehearsal. Ina thought it would be an on-screen collab though which is why it was on her schedule and she talked about it openly while Ame tried to shush her. If you weren't actually confused, sorry, I was very, very confused by the whole thing and wanted to help.

I think the same thing happened with Gura: she mentioned she had a collab in the morning, but then no stream. She did post on twitter that she'd protect Anya forever, so it was probably Anya.

Ina has had it on her schedule all week and talked about it on stream yesterday. If they're going to shut down collabs with Coco for whatever reason, you'd think they'd look at "Collab TBD" at the end of the week and ask Ina what was going on. How long did it take manager to notice Nene leaked Polka's 3d? a day or two?

It's just an offline collab that was clearly misunderstood/misinterpreted as an online one. It's a harmless mistake that I'm actually more inclined to believe is a fuck-up on the girls' part given how swamped they are with streams and other responsibilities (Ina) on top of having shitty/erratic sleep schedules (Ame). It's not a big deal and you're free to shit on management all you like but all said and done, this is really a nothing-burger, IMHO.

There's a clear hierarchy between the "Oopsie" of an offline vs online collab misunderstanding vs. the repeated "I-can't-believe-y'all-are-this-fucking-stupid" colossal fuck-ups of JP management.

To this extent, I think it's pretty clear that ENMA > Holo JP Management.

Welp, Uto tried the DLC and like I predicted could not get past the first area. Though she seemed to not understand the tutorial she did at all so it's not surprising. She's downloading the main campaign so switching to Minecraft until it finishes it seems.

So, I'm with Biobreak on this one, mostly because I see it as such a non-issue, and that this is more of (in my understanding) a miscommunication on multiple levels. . . but that is more of a signal that Cover is doing the right thing and letting the talents handle their internal-interactions. The management's job is handle things like rights, claims, and the more 'out-there' and 'new' content (Haato's manager is a fucking legend). This was as simple as it comes; it was an Among Us stream, which are a dime-a-dozen, easy, and the only issues arise from on the spot drama. It is exactly the kind of collaboration that gets an immediate seal of approval.

As for the communication breakdown, probably two fold. Initially they all said they wanted to get together and play Among Us. Everyone said awesome let's do it. Ina misunderstood something in their chat and thought it was live. When they all mentioned it to ENMA, the breakdown was probably in terminology. Amelia says 'we're all going to play Among us on Monday.' Manager says 'nice, easy day.' Ina swings by later and says, 'can't wait to stream Among Us with the girls on Monday.' Manager says, 'oh yeah, Amelia mentioned 'going to play Among Us' a bit ago. Nice, easy day.'

Now ENMA could have ruthlessly gone through each participants schedule to see if Ina's information was corroborated, but
1) why would you there, is no issue.
2) the girls don't match up collabs on their schedules all the time. Some may put it on their schedule if it is on their channel specifically, and some don't. And there are times where a girl doesn't stream Among Us while participating in collab (JPs do it sometimes).
3) they're adults, if it falls through. . . it falls through. Handle at the lowest level. No management needed or wanted.

Edit: Just to reiterate one point I mentioned at the beginning. This kind of fuck up is a good thing. Lack of oversight in issues like this means that the talent has a good deal of freedom and self-management. If this kind of thing was instantly caught, it would lend to the idea of a management team acting like diplomats rather than refs. And you don't want that.

It seems Watame will not play the G route as I expected. Considering how she cry throughout the entire game, this come as no surprise. The game theme about family and home seems to relate to her so much that she chose to end it the way she want (as Toby intended). Undertale is a great game, really, despite its obnoxious fandom.
