Oh man, Rhys... this shows just how little you know about the realities of academia. Sorry if this is too powerlevely, but I just can't let this slide: Many, many grad school programs have at least one or two classes that have units on networking which require you to write to a minimum number of notable people in your field of study. It is mostly meant as a networking exercise, and it's also meant to help students get over their fears of reaching out to others in their field since many people are flattered and will absolutely write back to you. Or, at least, they won't make fun of you on their public Twitter account.
Additionally, many students who complete these exercises will typically choose "notable people" in their field who are on the lower end of the fame scale. Students usually feel more comfortable reaching out to less famous people, since they are less intimidating and can feel more relatable to someone just starting out in the field. Also, you can more often expect a reply from the less famous. But I guess Rhys really does think he's too high and mighty to help others starting out in his field. His "work" is all about him, him, him.

It would be a lie if I claimed, that I am surprised. I expected as much. Mixed heritage people can be insanely obnoxious fulltime victims. You kind of want to see how they would fare in one of these bed bunkers and potential death traps like the Grenfell Tower. Or how life in Hackney would be for them.
