I came back here because I've been trying to discuss certain incidents on Twitter about Sophie and boy, it sucks that the OP of this thread doesn't have an index of Sophie's greatest hits, including:
- Signing children's books at a sex shop, with photos
- The multiple comics about her adult boyfriend she had as a 13 year old that she looks back on fondly and doesn't recognize that she was groomed at all... uploaded onto her pages intended as a resource for trans or gender non-conforming children and their parents
- The $2,000 tablet incident
- That time she fucking made a comic solely to shit on trans men under a different alias
- Her lying about dating a straight guy who dumped her when she found out she was trans and how it was more likely to have been a gay dude who stopped dating her because he respected her gender identity
- Multiple examples of her fixation on children's genitals and then projecting that same fixation onto transphobes
- A parent saying that the reason Sophie got fired from being a teacher's aide was because Sophie was flirting with middle-school aged students... in front of said parent
- Multiple incidents of Sophie generally being shitty to trans men and gay men, perhaps even more viciously than DA CIS
- Multiple incidents of her begging for money for donations to spend on trips abroad where maybe she'll do like, one speech and then spend two weeks taking selfies around Stockholm or wherever
- That time she did a lecture at a school in her neighborhood, said she wouldn't do it unless she was paid $300, completely bombed the speech, and then charged the school for the taxi ride she took to get there when she could have fucking walked
- That time she nearly got a high schooler suspended for even mentioning the reddit dedicated to Assigned Male edits
- Her repeated insistence that all children, whether they're questioning their gender or not, should be put on puberty blockers until they've "decided their gender," something we originally thought was just her being batshit but now had terrifying new implications
- Anything really to hammer home the fact that Sophie doesn't actually give a shit about her fellow transgender people unless they can sufficiently boost her ego and feed her wallet
I have already put a lot of effort into trying to catalog an entirely different fucked-up situation on Twitter in Dream's fandom where a teenage fanfic author may have committed suicide over having written cringey, edgelord guro about Dream and his pals because of two different stan accounts basically encouraging a massive pile-on which, unsurprisingly, wound up with death threats and this dumb kid is possibly dead, resulting in a Zamii 2.0 situation... and all this shit with Sophie not being easily accessible via a quick google search isn't helping me because I am already emotionally drained as is. I am tired. This is why I quit being a mod.
And while I am no longer a mod, and I probably won't be doing much follow-up posting... could you guys maybe beef up the OP, or make some kind of handy resource on why Sophie is a terrible person? Pretty please? The only people who are going to come here are ones who already hate trans people and I'm trying to convince people who are trans/trans friendly that Sophie is a danger to the community and I sure as fuck can't send them here, but there's still a risk to these children that Sophie has made an entire career around being able to get close to them, and I don't like it.
