There is no specified date for them. They'll be announced whenever Nintendo feels like announcing them.
 
If Steve from Minecraft can get into Smash Bros., then I would love to see Ryza from the Atelier Ryza seriesor Baby Mario/Baby Luigi in the series as well.

The latter I’m still shocked that its never made its way to Smash for all this time.

The deadline they gave when they announced the second Fighters Pass was December of 2021. I feel like we'll get another one for sure in June or at E3 the last one will probably be in late Fall. I'd be surprised if we get another full pass after this, I think Sakurai is pretty ready to be done since he's been developing Ultimate for like four years now.

I want Paper Mario so there is another flat character to balance out the roster now that Pyra is on board.

I wouldn't mind seeing King Boo become a playable character. Him being a ghost would give him a unique moveset, and it would add another villain to the game.

King Boo is an excellent suggestion. It would give Luigi a villain counterpart.

Poor Walu though. He really should get in seeing as he is the sole remaining "most requested" character.

And Robonik.

Those three and I will be okay with not getting Iron Chef and Future Goku Sigma Instinct.

I'm pretty happy Pyra and Mythra got in, Xenoblade 2 has to be one of my favorite games on the switch. I'm one of the people who think Rex may have been a better pick due to his moveset however, or as someone mentioned earlier, Nia. But I suppose I only think those things because you play as Nia and Rex directly, as opposed to Pyra and Mythra indirectly.

I hope it makes more people pick up the series.

I'm not interested in him getting in, but for some reason I'm more sympathetic to those that do, when I'm contemptuous of most people sperging over entries at this point.

Personally, I'm hoping after the next two fighters are announced and their souls are are their lowest, it's announced that he's a free final fighter as a thank you to everyone who bought the game, kinda like Piranha Plant was free for early adopters.
