Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The word I have heard is because this is being done as a "budgetary reconciliation" they don't need the 60 vote majority and only need 50 cause Harris can push it through.

This is getting passed unless a Dem Flips.
What is "budgetary" about this bill that would allow that to pass? That would be a nuclear-level Crossing of the Rubicon that would instantly get challenged from every single state with a Republican governor and/or legislature.

Have you fucking seen the Pork in it?
I think a bill like this needs to be specifically stated as a budgetary bill though, doesn't it? Lots of bills have pork stuffed in them, they don't all get to get around the standard process that bills go through in the senate.

You sure you're not getting HR1 and the stimulus bill mixed up?

Budget reconciliation already happened. They can't double dip, as far as I know.

Wouldn't the bill eventually be veto'd when it's sued up to the supreme court when it comes to that level for being unconstitutional from barring states rights to vote laws?
Fun fact about HR1: all challenges to the laws therein must be taken to the DC federal court system. So if you're counting on the courts to stop this after the fact, don't. They'd dismiss with prejudice.

Really makes you think....

Now that it's becoming obvious to everyone that Q is just a gay larp that poses no threat, why is the acting chief of Capitol police (Yogananda D. Pittman, lol) requesting an extension of the national guard presence? How can anyone not see Biden and congressional democrats for the spineless cowards they are? Why was this person trusted with a leadership role in the Capitol police?

Was an intellectually disabled woman put in charge of the capitol police just to create a shitshow that could be used as justification for continued military presence in DC?

When Baghdad Biden said he wanted to "restore the soul of the nation" was he talking about East Germany? When will this madness end?

You know you fucked up when "Q shaman" is the reasonable one.

Which is why any director who makes an adaptation that does not meticulously stick to the source material should be tarred and feathered.
Counterpoint: First Blood is a great movie.
Dante’s Inferno. And then a bunch of podcasts started making fun of the fact that some Christian groups got offended by the stunt.

Well, you got Roberts who’s a coin flip, the Obama appointees who try to legislate from the bench with a living Constitution, and Trump’s appointees haven’t lived up to the meme image MAGA has projected. And then you got the Democrats’ dream of court packing. I don’t think SCOTUS can stop this Bill. The Democrats will force it down everyone’s throats.

We’re not at GDR yet. We don’t have the Stasi, whatever the Stasi did, but we DO know that there’s a bunch of collaborators waiting in the wings for such an agency with those powers to pop up

I could be wrong here, but a case that has been dismissed with prejudice can still be appealed all the way to the SCOTUS if needed assuming the claimants have the money and lawyers necessary for said appeal, IIRC.
