I've been pretty out on the loop of this whole thing in the past couple months, but what I find interesting is how quickly this has all been swept under the rug. Even when it was hot shit, it seemed like most people instantly dismissed the allegations and waiting for the inevitable response post/video. It baffles me that, when it comes to the plethora of YouTuber allegations - big or small, true or false - *this* was the one people seemed to want to defend the most.
Maybe it was a sort of "boy who cried wolf" scenario, where people had become so used to fake allegations that they just assumed everything was false until proven otherwise, but somehow people were really adamant to defend Pyrocynical and slam people like Turkey Tom for simply suggesting that "hey maybe these allegations aren't as open and shut as people believe them to be, and maybe Pryocynical wasn't being 100% honest when he claimed that he didn't know this kid's age when he did gay furry inflation fart rp because said kid sent a link to their twitter and the link would've fucking embedded and shown the age he had listed in his bio".
Again, it just kind of baffles me that all these other faggot YouTubers never fully recover from sex/grooming scandals but people rallied behind someone who does furry inflation fart fetish role play with their own fans, and when they're caught they just call it "cringy", the same way you'd speak about having a Minecraft channel when you were 12.
Pyro's biggest saving grace in this was the fact it was weird furry fetish shit. Normal people with normal sex drives look at a drawing of a blubbery fox and don't comprehend it as sexual. Just look at how it took YMS explaining what a fat fetish is for 10+ minutes to make people finally realize Nikocado Avocado's entire existence is weight gain / feeder wank material. Even after Pyro flat out said in his video response that he jerks off to the fat sweaty farting dragons he was sending Ivory his fans still believe he was just sharing fat fart furry art over and over and over and over for years because he just wanted to laugh at cringey art with his friends.
Turkey Tom also screwed up in his document and videos trying to nail Pyro. The Discord message with the Twitter embed wasn't the smoking gun he treated it as. It was posted in July but Pyro was unsuspended from Twitter in June. It didn't disprove Pyro's statement at all. What actually did was the messages about Ivory potentially flying out to England and sneaking into a bar or club. That conversation happened in May while Pyro was suspended from Twitter.
Ivory: Yea, I don't know except for sneaking in or making a fake id, because I think I kind of look that age uwu
Based on Ivory's messages and the context that it was about getting into an 18+ establishment we can figure out Pyro said something to the effect of "But you wouldn't be able to go to the club with us because you're not 18." It's the only way Ivory saying "I look
that age" makes sense. But how would Pyro know in May that Ivory wasn't 18 if he never learned Ivory's age until he was unsuspended from Twitter in June?
Instead of attacking it from that angle Turkey Tom and Tommy C focused on assuming this must have meant Pyro wanted to put a 16 year old into a situation where he couldn't leave, get him drunk, and then fuck him. Tommy especially chimped the fuck out about this even after Ivory told him he never got the impression it was a booty call because it was part of a larger group meet up. So Pyro got to slink away on this point.
And we can't forget Keemstar poisoned the well for accusations of sexual misconduct against Pyro all the way back in 2015 when he fucked up the French girl story. He fucked up so bad that even after he released DM screencaps proving Pyro was lying about the French girl not existing and Pyro had to admit he was looking to fuck her as soon as she was legal people still walked away thinking Keem had made everything up. He's STILL fucking it up by saying he now has a tell-all interview with the girl but refusing to release it.
A week or two ago this video about some artist called JohnBob popped up in my recommendations. I'm actually flabbergasted Turkey Tom went for the Red Kiwiz comparison rather than this. While Pyro had thousands of people saying "IT'S JUST A 4 YEAR AGE GAP" to protect him, JohnBob was publicly drawn, quartered, and tarred as a pedophile over a 3 year age gap. I don't know the full context for JohnBob and it sounds like he was a general sex pest so maybe the intense public backlash was deserved (though anyone who believes an 18 year old is a pedophile for hitting on a 15 year old, the equivalent of a high school senior hitting on an older freshman / younger sophomore, has incurable brain worms), but the discrepancy in how two similar cases of sexual misconduct were treated is pretty baffling.
