Well if your sister lived to tell the tale of how she got the coof. Then that should show them the virus is a nothing burger and your birth givers are retard for being so paranoid at this point. Maybe when your sister turns out fine they'll relent a little.

How long can you stall for? If you just keep middling about it back and forth maybe you can draw it out long enough for public perception, and thus your parents' perception, to soften.

Adverse effects are unlikely, there are lunatic vaccine doomers as well as lunatic covid doomers. You'll almost definitely be fine so if you don't really care, it'll be easier to just get it.

If it does bother you, either because of the vaccine itself or on principal, turn up to the appointment alone and then say you don't want it. Since you're over 18 no one can share your medical info with your parents without your consent, so just tell them you got it. Remember to go for a walk in three weeks or whatever when you're supposed to be getting the second dose.

The problem is you don't learn to question shit, you learn to memorize shit for the test.

That being said, I sat through the same lectures back in undergrad 1107 about how T-cell/B-cell memory works (as well as white blood cells & phagocytosis), yet I still see them chimping on FB about how "the virus doesn't give you lasting antibodies!"

But in a way, the media has become the new professor and the "muh no lasting antibodies!" talking point is the new fact to remember for the test.

They're like this girl I know who constantly sees "rednecks" who hang around outside Walmart and totally try to bully people into taking off their masks, even trying to rip them off. It's all in her head, and they don't even exist, but she's always got a new story about them.

Maskers are REALLY pissed about the end of forced masking. Nobody said they can't continue wearing the things if they want, they're just upset nobody's forcing you to.

And yes they're trying to compare it to weapon seizure.
