Sure, those nurses have seen some things, I have no doubt about that. There are those who manage to get to 600 lbs-but many more who don't. We remember and talk about the freaks with maggots in sores, foreheads that resemble beluga whales, or live to talk about their 16 shit a day habit while picking their nose and eating it right after petting cats. There are those who somehow disgustingly outlive their statistical time which is amazing. The ones who just die when they should, we just say ”of course” and move on.

Just because some horrendous braphogs do get to abuse themselves for years on end, doesn't mean Chinny will. We’ve watched Amber and Jen stay pretty much the same for years.

But Chantel? Chantel has gained a hundred if not more in just a year. She’s gone downhill physically and mentally before our eyes, and I don't think she’ll be a ”lucky” one. She may have a couple years left but I don't think she’ll even make it to Jen’s age of 45, or even 40. Not everybody beats the odds, and I don't think Chins will.

It’ll be interesting to watch, but when she died somebody will take her place. Chance Carmichael is long gone and nobody misses him.

Is written prescriptions still a thing in Canada? Its been years since I've seen a paper prescription. Everything is done automatically and sent to the pharmacy, you just have to go and actually pick it up.

It’s Canada - not the backwoods of North Korea, yes we still have written prescriptions and yes we have places that offer drive thru prescription pickup from shoppers drug mart in some places. Most often if you go to a walk in clinic or urgent care you will get a paper prescription you take to your pharmacy of choice. Some family doctors and midwives will offer to call it in to your pharmacist, but a lot of Canadians don’t actually have a dedicated family doctor they see.

Interestingly Bibi didn’t seem to succumb to joining Chantal in her gluttony.
Even when she would order food you would sometimes hear him preparing his own meal in the tiny cramped apartment.

Amy Slaton was under 300lbs when she got pregnant. She had also had a gastric bypass surgery, which if you speak to woman of childbearing age who've had it, messes with your hormones. I've heard women who weren't even having periods anymore, say straight after bypass surgery the floodgates opened. Sorry for that bit of TMI. Oral birth control after bypass is also very hit and miss due to malabsorption issues. Many bariatric surgeons actually insist their female patients get birth control implants prior to surgery as a way to ensure no early post-op pregnancies.

I've also asked myself what 37-38 year old woman puts off filling prescriptions to cover a laundry list of problems they inflicted on themselves. Everybody here knows, that if for some reason tomorrow you discovered you had an illness that required you to take those drugs you'd go out to the pharmacy and get them filled that very day and start taking the meds, because it's increasing your chance to survive. The exception to the rule is Chantal. She's the most special of snowflakes and her mental acuity is below some of the Type 1 children I've seen at the diabetic clinics.

Inertia can be hard to beat. With her diet so bad she must have zero energy and lots of deficiencies, like a malnourished person carrying 450 lbs on their back. I think it's good she made her list to try and break the tasks down into steps. It must suck to have to earn your living by opening yourself up to all the negativity that she gets, but that was a choice she made. And now she's stuck cause youtube is what feeds her food addiction. She needs to take small steps to turn her ship around and that would definitely be with her nutrition and getting therapy. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. In a case like hers it helps to eat healthy foods before meals to add nutrition and fill themselves up but a lot of people are afraid to do it that way because of extra calories but it would actually help her force out the junk without being and feeling deprived. What she needs to do is forget about stupid juicing and get herself a nutrobullet. It leaves all the fiber in there and you can throw anything in it, kale, eggs, almonds, polenta, wheat germ,. All sorts healthy herbs and spices and you can mask the flavor at first by mixing it with fruit and or some sort of non carbonated sweetened drink to wean yourself over and then you slowly start to put less fruit and sweet and more water. It's the best thing I ever had, if I had to choose one piece of technology for life it would not be my car or my phone it would be my nutrabullet cause it helps me feed my autistic ass even though I have flavor and texture issues galore. I imagine it would help a death fat transition as well from the addictive diet to more nutrition. She would probably take it to an extreme and try to do all nutrablast all the time and fail, but if she had one early in the day and filled herself up on apples and lentil soup type things before she eats her fast food then she would be able to turn the boat around. She would have energy and nutrition and it would stop her fat battleship from sinking. She needs to just take one step at a time you know?

Can we make our predictions for Chantal’s death and see who gets it closest. Include year, cause of death, approx weight, how her weight loss cycle was going or whatever.

It’s 2023. Chantal has peacefully passed away in her sleep from sleep apnea. She had been on the waiting list for weight loss surgery for some months, which meant she should probably get in that fast food before her surgery made her a skinny gorl that could eat anything and not gain weight. Her denial of being diabetic and refusing to improve her diet lead to the quick decline of her organs, eyesight and circulation. Movement pained her more and more, giving her a great excuse to do it less and less.

After her legs were amputated, she started rapidly gaining weight from barely moving and her legs no longer using some of the calories she shoveled in. Peetz brought her takeout to her bed, from which she did livestreams on her phone with her adoring supporters telling her to try the yummy new chicken sandwich from mcd’s.

She stopped wearing proper clothes and just covered herself in a bedsheet, but out of boredom and faith in her becoming a success story, ordered some skinny clothes to wear after her weight loss surgery. She gained to 570ish lbs, but technically was in the 400s since that is what she last weighed herself at.

She became entirely bedbound and missed all appointments supposed to get her closer to her WLS. That was alright though, she would be able to move from the bed and get her surgery once she started eating healthy. Maybe before her next appointment.

One evening, Peetz realised Chantal hadn’t asked him to get her takeout or change her diapees in the last 10 hours, so he entered her room to find her cold, saucy drumstick half eaten in her hand, pizza box balanced on her chest. The food crash had made her fall asleep on stream without her CPAP machine and she had stopped breathing. At first her audience was giggling to themselves about how cute her guttural snores were, but once they stopped, general chimpout ensued.

Peetz stood in the doorway, noticed the stream and quietly closed the door to go watch some letsplays. He would call Chantals mom and she would handle it, tomorrow.

Main reason for written scripts in the US is because of the opioids crisis.

When they started cracking down, most doctors have to write out the scripts and turn them in by hand or have a family member do it for you.

That's what I was told by my doctor when I ask her 5 years or ago.
