I think the troon grift works like pyramid. I've noticed that just like Twitch and Youtube you have guys like Ninja or whoever, that are at the top 1% and get majority of the donations and views. Then the further down you go the more you see the guys at the bottom fighting for table scraps.
I've seen troons trying to grift just like Kevin, but with far less success. I have this theory as weird as it sounds that Kevin has built up a type of cult of personality in the community. That gets him more attention and therefore he gets boosted out to the forefront. The key in this business is you're competing against other troons to be as exceptional as possible in order to gain the clout and attention.
