I'm surprised there haven't been some class-action lawsuits spring up.

Pretty much every major company on the plant was all like "Oh that poor Floyd fellow! You should all donate money to Black Lives Matter; they're the good guys!"

And then they proceeded to practically level a couple of cities. And did absolutely nothing of positive note or value
Sue BLM? And get called racist?? Heavens no!

Well, I watched OJ: Made in America (a 5 part documentary about The Juice), and it basically showed that the race card was played HARD. Meaning that a trial rooted in domestic violence turned into some big thing about race relations in Los Angeles, if not the US. I remember one quote from a pastor, and I’m paraphrasing: “This wasn’t a victory for black people. This was a victory for a rich guy named OJ Simpson. And I was troubled by that”.

You think we’re going to see something similar with this trial coming up?

Normally, I'd say so but I find it interesting that it's the defense that's specifically pushing for the case to be televised instead of the DA or the prosecution. Normally, it'd be the other way around.

My guess is that Chauvin's lawyers have some kind of smoking gun that they want the public to know and having this be nationally televised might be a good way to counter the typical corporate censorship.

Given the extra security measures around the courthouse in the lead-up to the trial, something tells me Chauvin will either walk completely or only get a slap on the wrist for some process crime at the absolute most.

They're afraid.

The companies have a lot of money to outlast them in the courts and the media will crucify them as "White supremacists" for daring to speak out against BLM

Prosecutors do not want the trial to be filmed.
They don't want body cam footage used in court.
Chauvin is being charged with 2nd degree murder but now the prosecutors wants lesser charges included: manslaughter and 3rd degree murder.
Prosecutors had rejected guilty plea for 3rd degree murder. No refunds
Prosecutors hired 4 experts to disagree with the medical examiners findings.
Prosecution hired 2 private attorneys who will join assistant AG Matthew Frank. Probably so the AG can place the blame on them when they lose.
They don't want the normies to see the 40 minute body cam footage instead of the watered down 8 minute version or the laundry list of illegal drugs that Floyd had in his system or the fact that Chauvin was performing a procedure that he was trained to do.
I hope I wrote this right. I'm half delirious from allergies

You're right, but that might just be delaying the inevitable in some ways. There is no guarantee, but the hysteria has to dissipate someday, and not everyone is going to forget.

I'm wondering if someone can file a lawsuit on someone else's behalf or not. Like if you got the permission from them in advance, could you do that?

That is a good question; I'm fairly sure that they can if the person was a minor and they were their legal guardian, of which there would be a plethora of potential cases from the disgraceful mess that is the education system today.

You got it right. The prosecution is going all in to make it clear that George Floyd died as a direct result of the actions of Chauvin.

Wasn't the big revelation by O.J.'s defense that one of the investigators said "nigger" on tape? I was young at the time, but I recall my 3rd grade teacher constantly telling us that this was happening because the police were racists.
You talking about the Furhman Tapes? That was part of it. There was also accusations that he and the LAPD planted evidence to nail OJ, but the tapes were a big deal, and it highlighted the race aspect of it. That was the part where Fuhrman pleaded the fifth.

The point of the tapes was that they were trying to convict OJ really hard, and they were racially motivated to do so.

Yeah, this is something I always have to bring up when people say O.J. was proven as "innocent" (when in reality he was concluded to be not guilty, which is much different). The defense wasn't to prove that O.J. dindu nuffin, but rather to prove the prosecution was racist and fumbled their evidence. Thus, Johnnie Cochrane was able to convince the jury that the evidence against Simpson was moot and deboonked because it handled improperly by a group of old racist white cops who just wanted to bust a poor black man.

Only if
1) You are their lawyer/contracted to (e.g. copyright lawsuit)
2) The parent/legal guardian of a minor or someone ruled incompetent by a court (or other wise unable to act on their own such as in a coma maybe)
3) Next of Kin and/or executor of the estate of the deceased

Other wise if you are filing for some one else it clearly means you have suffered no damages and thus have no standing to sue.

Courts (in the US) do not rule "Innocent" only "Guilty" or "Not Guilty". In the US "Not Guilty" is legally equivalent to "Innocent" (Since "Innocent until proven guilty (excluding "not guilty due to insainty" types) .

IIRC, the DA who set those charges was none other than Antifa championing Keith Elison.

His attempt at First or Second degree murder was blatantly politically motivated as it was in no way supportable. The only thing I don't know was whether he thought it was just some cheap points to throw the book at Chauvin / he'd lose political points if he set a lesser charge; or whether it was a more machiavellian move to deliberately create charges that wouldn't stick in order to provoke more riots and BLM support when Chauvin was found not guilty.

Also, this made me laugh.

In this video a small, homeless Asian man is being harassed, assaulted, and psychologically tortured to the point of tears by a mob of blacks. At one point the parasite recording says "I hate Asians" and mocks him as he cries.

The Media rarely talks about this, and when they do they are trying to blame it all on Wippyo and Orange Man.

Look at how much harassment Andy Ngo gets for drawing attention to the violence leftists cause. Almost all the media line up to paint him as a liar too and spread insane claims like him making "kill lists." Its insanely hard to oppose leftists publicly today.
