I’ve been involved in two lawsuits. I won’t provide too much info but one lawsuit was dismissed before it went to trial and the other would have cost close to a quarter million if the guy hadn’t dropped the lawsuit in the middle of the trial.
So, yes, you could sue Phil for defamation but 1) it’s extremely expensive, 2) it’s emotionally exhausting, 3) it’s a gigantic waste of your time, 4) in this instance, there’s nothing to gain. Even if your lawsuit wouldn’t be dismissed by the courts, knowing the gigantic pussy the pig happens to be, he would immediately attempt to settle and if you didn’t accept his settlement and won your lawsuit, the damages would be negligible unless you were able to prove he undoubtedly hurt your business and you could assess a fair market value of the damages his slander caused you.
The only reason to waste your money suing Phil would be to go after his house which would constitute as the mother of all gay ops. There was one institution that could have sued him and probably won... the US gov’t but instead they rubber stamped his fraudulent bankruptcy filing and actually granted it to him. The people in the best position to truly bring this guy to justice happened to be the most incompetent ones (no surprise here TBH).
He’s too much a piss ant and nobody to waste your time with anyways. But, holy fuck, imagine the goldmine of drama we’d strike if the pig were to get sued by anyone. And the astronomical levels of begging to cover his legal fees. One can dream...

Well, shit, he went on that one tirade fairly recently about the guy/guys who ran EVO, and he hadn't been remotely involved in that scene since what, 2006? 2007? It wouldn't surprise me at all if he's got some bully from 3rd grade on his list he stalks on Facebook waiting for him to get divorced or something so he can lord his real adult house and real adult marriage over him.

I'm not even sure an audit would be enough. He can just point to his Twitch and YouTube Channels and say "See, I'm an online content creator who streams and records gameplay. All these apple store charges are microtransactions for a game I play." I doubt that some Boomer at the IRS knows enough about online content creation to ask the relevant follow-up questions. Just like how Nancy didn't even push back against his $5k/month business expenses, which are clearly insane if you're familiar with Phil's stream. Although, with the recent increase in people making a full time living from online content creation (sometimes in the 7 figure range) it's possible that the IRS has been paying closer attention and familiarizing themselves with the industry in order to sniff out faulty tax returns.
If Phil tells his tax guy that the WWE Champions pulls are ordinary and necessary business expenses he probably just takes Phil's word for it (and why wouldn't he, he probably knows nothing about Phil's content other than that he plays video games). Ultimately, Phil is the one who is legally responsible for what is on those returns.

Also, Derich for the first time seemed to notice the chat making fun of his twitter activity, specifically the piss stuff, and he was not happy about it.

Right, but I don't think he's actually deducting them. Someone who's done the numbers can correct me, but I believe the amount of tax he pays matches up pretty closely to what you'd pay given his actual income, not his income minus 60 grand of mystery expenses.

I love his boomer hate-boner for streamers that entertain younger audiences, whether real or perceived. DSP admits he was doing toilet humor all these years because his audience was young and that's what he built his foundation on.

If anyone can find other mentions/references to these guys, please let me know, and ill dig a little further, but the first mention of oic I can find on PPG is 5/29/2020. The first mention of woa I can find on ppg is 6/19/2020. We're supposed to believe that both of these whales showed up, out of nowhere (khantribution wise anyway) within 3 weeks of each other. Both show up sparingly, participate in chat sparingly, have access to money that they can waste (because dsp is human waste), mysterious subs bahmbs seem to happen when they are known to be tipping, and oic is CONFIRMED to use multiple accounts due to his paranoia..
All of this is just a coincidence guys. Just like dsp and downfromtherafters have a lot of coincidences... I wish someone would ask woa where he's from. Not an exact location, but just a general area.
Edit: And how about a oic and woa mention within 30 seconds of each other all the way back in 6/2020? During this TLOU2 playthrough, oic was sub bahmbing and woa was tipping, but they never seemed to mix it up. Also funny how according to the clip @AWorthlessHuman posted, woa doesnt seem to know what or who oic is, but here they are on the same stream, and oic's name is said about a hundred times during this playthrough, due to all the gifted subs. Final edit: I'm not even gonna include the video or screenshots because I think I've proved my point, but they also both show up via PPG on 7/18/2020 during the ghost of tsushima playthrough. Same result, woa tipping, and oic sub bahmbing. Until very recently, these are the only times woa had shown up (via ppg), and they all just happened to be while oic was also there.. Every damn time. Either the biggest of all coincidence's, or they are the same fucking person!! So tell us again, woa, how you dont know who or what oic is?!?

Yea there is a whole class requirement specifically called ethics to be able to sit for the CPA exam, thanks to the generosity of WorldCom & Enron's shady accountants and two sets of books... ethics/fraud is the #1 with a bullet way to lose your accounting career.
Correct, his sole proprietorship is a pass-through income/expense, so it isn't treated like a real business where the taxes are done separately; he has to pay tax on his earnings, probably just taking the standard deduction. If he has the tax guy itemize deductions, he has to provide receipts for the tax guy to come up with what would qualify I.E. the percent of the house that is used solely for business, games, streaming equipment, etc., (We are all confident that DSP has organized receipts and not just trash bags, right?).
Likely he would try to put champions in under the radar, but, it's akin to me trying to write off $20k a year for weed because its a unexpected medical expense... doesn't pass the eye test. We have been remarkably accurate in our estimates for Federal Tax owed, IDGAF about state B&O taxes, because my state doesn't have income taxes, just sales tax. He might be trying to con WA state, but that fuck hole state burns itself down, why not have DSP help break the bank?
