Nice to know Chantal isn't too far behind keeping up with this thread. I knew she would address this issue because it hits directly at her ego. She's lying of course because Peetz wouldn't have made that statement about credit card debt in the previous live if she was playing for everything. She's pissed he let that slip. He is bad with money but she is worse. The reality is that even if she makes a solid income through YouTube, she has a large amount of debt and grossly overspends on Amazon crap and food.

Malan and Chantal were together for eight years and both in their mid 30s when he finally kicked her to the curb. I don't recall hearing about them having any serious discussion about having children together (except for Chantal to say he wanted them and she didn't) even before the hysterectomy. If having kids was such a priority for him, he wouldn't have stuck with her for so long. Why he did will always be a mystery. From the beginning of her YouTube "career" they always seemed like strangers sharing an apartment.

You mean, Chantal told her viewers that Bibi said that, which means Bibi almost surely did not say it.
She did not mention this until after he had gone on his mysterious trip which devastated her and which she was so evasive about that to this day it remains a mystery. She framed it in such a way that she would have to altruistically set him free, because she is so wonderful that she wouldn't want to deprive him. But then, he dumped her fat ass instead.
I know it is hard, but we cannot take her pronouncements at face value. Remember that everything has a spin at best or is a lie normally.

I have a theory about this.
Yeah, they were in their mid-thirties when he dumped her, but that's exactly when someone who wants kids would get serious about it, if they hadn't already. I think Chantal undersold the severity of her cysts from the get-go and had Bibi thinking that she just had to lose a little weight, get some minor surgery done, and then things would be normal.
I do happen to believe that if she'd addressed her cysts earlier, she would have had a window where conception was possible -- perhaps difficult, but possible. But she refused to lose weight to get her surgery until it became necessary to get the whole uterus out. After her surgery, she did say that the cysts had fused to her bowel -- I know she lies about everything, but even if she's lying about this, they had to be pretty bad before any doctor would do a hysterectomy on a woman in her mid-thirties.
So, from Bibi's perspective, she was "on a weight loss journey" so that she could get her surgery and start making babies. Yeah, the journey wasn't going well, but there wasn't a lot of pressure for the first few years. By the time they were in their mid-thirties, though, I could see his biological clock starting to tick and questions being asked.
After doing nothing about her cysts for years, by the time Chantal finally got around to going back to the gyno to have them checked, the situation was too far gone. And yes, I don't for a second believe she was regularly checking in with the gyno. Again, by the time she did anything about the cysts, they went straight to a hysterectomy, not a cyst removal. Besides, since when has she ever given a shit about her health or follow up doctor's appointments?
Regardless, by the time Chantal realized/admitted that they were that severe, it was too late. Bibi dumped her (probably when he went to Senegal on vacation without her) and was gracious enough to let her keep living in the apartment until after her surgery.
