If we're even going to assume he attempted to get a new pic of her today, then to add to that: Imagine you wanna show your girl and how happy you are and she outright refuses to let you anywhere near her with a camera (or just in general for that matter).
If a girl is truly into you, she wouldn't be acting that way. Kat is either A.) gone or B.) completely and fully disconnected from him, and this is a guaranteed marriage of convenience now. Phil's probably getting the Subaru Man treatment as we speak, and here's hoping the Jim she's talking with has a nicer looking place than Phil's because that's a done deal to depart the pig pen as having a fairly okay place to live is the only thing Phil has to offer now.
