I'd figured if you were straight, you'd be attracted to the opposite biological sex. All these terms to describe sexuality in Current Year, it's confusing. I know human beings are complex, but take it down a notch.

That's the common-sense understanding. The idea behind this seems to be fighting pedantism with pedantism.

Pretty much.

The troon brigade has been trying to convince people that a man and a transwoman or a woman and a transman are totally straight because 'gender'. Similarly with women and transwomen and 'lesbian', and then 'gay'. And rather than fighting to correct the meaning of 'straight' I think a bunch of people have just decided 'screw it, they make up sexualities all the time, let's make our own'.

I don’t know if it’s due to intentional humorlessness, an autistic inability to recognize satire, delusions of persecution or what, but I’m actually a bit disturbed at the frenzy they’ve worked themselves into. Is there no bait too obvious? Is this collective psychosis? What is happening?
