Y'all keep talking about "the locals seeing this and getting worried" etc. etc., but (partially genuine) question: how many small-town people have a twitter? Penny's whined about people from the town messaging him on facebook ("muh muh a woman was friendly to me, terf psyop") on twitter, which makes me think he's fairly sure the locals aren't checking on them.
It's entirely possible that the town at large (and local law enforcement specifically) knows nothing other than "tranch claims there's a group harassing them and attempting to trespass, tranch are on high alert". Normal people would assume "high alert" means keeping a night watch, carrying guns on the property, working with the police, etc., rather than a bunch of lunatics baying for ~fascist~ blood. Tranch keeps their murder-sperging to twitter and plays the sad yet determined victims to the general public, and even those who don't like them might not know the full extent of the lunacy...
