This was the wrong move on their part. This trend would have died in two months tops, and that subreddit would've just turned into a ghost town.
Now they killed it at it's height and proved a lot of people's opinions on trans people taking over internet spaces just to snuff out any criticism correct.

It’s hilarious bc you could already feel it getting a bit stale. Lots of recycled memes, etc. It was still rapidly growing from a subscriber perspective, but the Tik Toks were nuked, the Twitter fodder was drying up, and you could see how the joke would get old rather quickly. This in the face of mounting anti-troon sentiment (read: sanity) on the site is just kicking the can down the road to be dealt with later.

Semi surprised the admins didn’t use this as an excuse to ban other “hate” subs as well, citing overlap between their userbases and Superstraight. Seems like something they’d do.
