Yeah. No. Using cancel culture to uno reverse card a convention for dropping Vic just makes HIM look bad. Vic has repeatedly stated NOT to harass or bully cons or people to invite him, but to show respect and kindness when doing so. Stooping to the level of KV by trying to cancel the con just throws the situation in one giant circle.

Slapped down legally yes. Laugh at them on the farms yes. Laugh any time karma bites them in the ass yes. But not that is not remotely the same as what KV does. I’m not gonna message cons or organize boycotts. I’m not gonna call up any unfortunate who knows Emmett Plant and these other losers and try to ruin their already sad and bitter lives.

Just don't go to conventions that pull shit like this. If you like Vic and he's at a convention then go to it.

I do however fully endorse to pull the same shit on any of the KV harpies whenever they get convention appearances because Judge Chump said it's totally legal and your right to free speech to harass conventions into dropping guests. Unfortunately, none of them are getting hosted at conventions in the first place.

Personally I'm not gonna do it but if other people got Emmett or the others cancelled or fired I'd laugh my ass off because these people have nothing and participate/celebrate ruining other people's lives they deserve to have shit happen to them. People have been messaging cons telling them they love vic since this started,they don't care or are afraid of going against these people. They deserve anything that happens to them

When this started, Chuck vouched for Vic and talked about the toxic work atmosphere in Funimation and how the people accusing him of all the predator stuff would get together in their cliques and just shit talk Vic because they didn't like that he was religious, they didn't like that he was conservative and they didn't like how extra he would be with the job and how difficult he was to work with at times. Chuck even noted that Vic came up with the idea to sell print outs with his signature on them to make some extra cash and the other VAs basically copied off of him and started doing the same. They would just make fun of him and bully him behind his back while pretending to be his friends in public.

When KV and the bully brigade at Funimation caught wind of Chuck siding with Vic, they started pressuring him to take back what he said or that he'd basically pay for it by losing his job and getting the same treatment as Vic. Long story short, Chuck got cold feet and then caved to the pressure because he claimed he didn't want to lose his job or income because he has a family to feed, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Ever since he's switched sides, now he plays ball with them. It's not really clear if he genuinely sides with them or if he's only forced to in order to save his own hide.

Chuck left a very bitter and bad taste and the mouths of many people who support Vic.

It was a very real reminder that a lot of people who knew Vic would turn their backs on him in order to save themselves. At least in the public eye. Some folks claim that he remains friends with them and still talks and hangs out with them, but obviously keeps it on the DL so that those folks don't face any heat from the insane twitter mobs.

Edit: Just read Vic didn't have a contract in place so no TI. It's remarkably shitty. You should always have a contract in place if you announce someone like that.

The con's website says that ALL GUESTS are contracted to appear and that they don't advertise any talent without their written permission. (Also, no refunds if a guest is not able to attend--people were really salty about that one prior to Vic's removal)

Vic didn't cancel with the convention, the convention canceled with Vic. I'm sure some bored lawyer could have fun with the word salad.

Was thinking about what Rackets said in in regards to legal recourse to Emmett, and to be honest, it sucks.

With a few hours of tweets and furious masturbation, was able to inflict significant economic and reputational damage to Vic. Meanwhile, Vic has effectively no recourse. He can sue, but even if he wins (which is no sure thing as witnessed by the chuppening) he'll recover $6k against a $50k legal bill.

Emmett's utter worthlessness is literally armor against repercussions. He has nothing to take, so he's not worth suing, but he can inflict encomic harm far disproportionate to his value as a human being.
