Others though... they seem like they're in denial. Or maybe they just really, really wish that this follicle scraping thing is all they'll need. Laser hair removal + electrolysis is expensive and very time-consuming, after all. Rumer takes advantage of this, playing on her victims' fears and hopes.

As horrifying as this butcher and her experiments are-all SRS surgeries are horrific by their very nature. I can't conjure up much more revulsion and horror than I already feel for even the best looking butcher jobs. There is no ethical way to mutilate healthy tissues.

If she gets enough bad publicity, when the tide fully turns and lawsuits come out I anticipate she'll be made to be one of the fall guys for the catastrophe that is trooning. Richer surgeons who remained too unknown will just fuck off to developing countries and live out cushy retirements as expats.

Therapists and surgeons preyed upon some of these mentally ill people since childhood. Just because they don't have your strength of will and are mentally ill doesn't make them less deserving of compassion than you. If you don't have it in your heart to have compassion for someone who was sold a lie by media and modern medicine and is now crippled, I would be surprised. Not everyone seeking SRS is mentally ill. We would like to think that anyone delusional enough to get surgery which mutilates healthy organs would be out of their head but many are not.

I have compassion for children and teens in this mess. I have compassion for those with severe cognitive disorders and the genuinely mentally ill (schitzos, etc) who seek this treatment.

But the Rhys and Kevins of the world, two men who were also sold this lie by media and modern medicine, who both had their surgeries botched yet continue to sell others on it and demonize anyone who speaks out against it— that is where the compassion does and should end.

This is how I predict the scenario will play out as well.
