Ironically it wasn't even the comments that tanked his Youtube channel. It wasn't until he started making hour long videos that tanked his viewership. I don't know if they're bots or actual people, but he somehow always manages to get around a thousand views on a video in 24 hours. So the fact he went from 50 videos making a thousand views to 4 videos making a thousand views just ended up tanking monthly viewership.

Also just checking now, it takes him an hour to get 54 views on a video? On a channel with 200k subscribers? That is rough...

Dave is an idiot when it comes to YouTube, marketing, financing, video making, PR, business management, comedy, and anything else related to being a YouTuber/Streamer. He got massively lucky in the eariler years and made some dumb money, then with streaming he got lucky having whales.

I have being watching gaming videos lately on YouTube from various people and I realized why Dave cant past 1000 views per video. EDITING, FUCKING EDITED VIDEOS. Specifically making short videos with jokes and edits in them. Editing a video makes watching a 30 minute to hour long video so much more tolerable.

Now we know he sucks at editing videos but he NEEDS to hire a video editor to make short condensed videos, like 15 minutes max. Where he can have jokes and moments put in that could make his videos get those views. And he could have the editors do a video or two a week. And schedule the videos to come out on Fridays or on his day off. Then the rest of the week he uploads his raw streams (honestly he should make an actual archive channel for streams and leave his main channel as the edited video channel).

He could even hire the editor to make like a 30-60 minute long full playthrough video but showing the best parts and adding jokes. An example would be Indiemaus on how he does his videos.

But what am I saying, Dave wont pay anyone else EVER because thats money he doesnt keep. But if he would hire an editor to make decent shit he could revive his channel and improve his reputation. But naw he is too greedy and lazy. Oh and I bet the detractors are the reason he doesnt hire an editor. The editor could be a troll.

I like this, but there's just one glaring issue that I don't think an editor could resolve. DSP, generally, just really isn't funny nor entertaining. Like honest to God, he is frustratingly unfunny.

In the last 15ish hours of DSP streams I've watched in the last week or so, he's made me laugh a total of 1 time. One. Most of the time, he's either dead air or his commentary consists of pointing out the blatantly obvious on the screen.

"See that? See that? See that? See that? *Snake laugh* See that?"

An editor can't fix his lack of drive to understand something, which makes games like Divinity too complex for him to put any effort into learning it and because of that he apparently learns basic functions of the game 20 hours into his playthrough.

I understand the frustration and drama around the SoK, but I loved their Let's Endure series because that's all Phil was and ever will be. How long can you sit down and endure this one dimensional man in x scenario? An editor for Phil could never "fix" his content unless it turns into a TIHYDP, pointing out Phil's blatant disregard for people and the game while showing his complete lack of self awareness.

On his recent rant during Yakuza going over why the WWE Champions thing is impossible he says that every detractor says the only reason he got the bankruptcy is because the people running the bankruptcy are bad at their jobs. Some detractors may say that but I sure don't Phillip. I think they're fine at their jobs I just think you lied to them, gave them false information and obfuscated your spending. That's how people get away with things like this Phillip, they lie.

Not only do I think you lied to them about your spending, I think you cried like a bitch about trolls to get them to ignore all the people pointing out the WWE Champions spending while lying directly to their face.

I don't think they're bad at their jobs, I think you're good at lying. You liar you. Also manipulating people through pity, you're great at that too.

If it was known by the relevant parties that he was spending money on WWE Champions, how would they determine that there's a meaningful distinction between spending money on video games for the benefit of his business...

and

...spending money on a mobile video game for personal reasons that have no connection to his business whatsoever?

Would they be able to see through a lie that WWE Champions is "business related"?

So If Phil were ever audited he would need to prove the expenses he claims in 1040 Schedule C were real (with receipts) and explain what they were for. Whether or not Phil would survive the audit really comes down to if the auditor asks the right questions. For someone who plays games for an audience, microtransactions could be considered ordinary and they WOULD be necessary IF they were featured in his content. Would an auditor go line by line and say "When did you play x game? show me the VoD"? I have no idea. Could Phil get away with saying "I streamed x game from y to z, but no VoDs exist"? Again, I have no idea. I try to avoid getting audited by the IRS.

See the problem is there are many streamers out there who primarily stream WWE Champions (Derish actually subs/follows a boomer streamer who makes wrestling gacha pulls content) and I'm just curious if DSP could say "WWE Champions is part of my content" and they'd accept that.

it was called "KO Community Creations" IIRC, not joking. He had his fans make them then send them to him I guess to pass the purity test and if they were something he thought would get views he'd upload them.

Iirc he uploaded one or two TIHYDPs as a centerpiece portion to his KOGaming channel. They were made by his fans, not him, of course, and yes, they were unfunny shit.

I mean, you are 100% right but Phil doesn't need any more money. He needs to stop setting fire to the money he is already making. If Phil took this advice and actually invested something into his business for once he might make significantly more money. But until he controls his spending he'll still be begging for groceries and supplies for his CatSon every Monday Tuesday.

Also Phil would need to learn to put aside his ego because any edited content that would actually generate viewership and engagement would highlight how shit he is at games and how salty he gets because those are the only 2 entertaining aspects of his gameplay.

He used his KO Gaming channel as a platform for fans to put in the work and make garbage TIHYDP's but with out the insulting comments... which is pretty much every comment that doesn't kiss his ass.
