In other news, I really liked that Mel interview. That Shinobu impersonation made me double take, and I had no idea about Mel-Mel cooking. Sasuga Mel saying she does not wear panties in English.

Next up is Shark doing a debut watch, and Ina playing Visage. Kind of looking forward to that second one.

Listening to the Image soundtrack, is very odd

  • Calli: is exactly what you can expect, very hip hoppy but for some reason it become classy in the middle with a piano part, pass from Eminem to Lo fi beats to beat the crap out of people
  • Kiara: imagine a Kirby game with Keki and you get this theme song, remove the first 30 seconds and would not weird in a platformer stage
  • Ina: for some reason she got almost trap song very samurai tier... from where this come from i dont know probably the guy just read her description and imagine another priestess like Sakura Miko
  • Gura: this was the funniest one, she got a almost Atlus game/Old sega (dreamcast era) upbeat song, you can feel the roots of the guy that made shit for dancing games in here very hard (Edit: someone pointed me that it sounds like a Megaman battle network ost and now im laughing because of it)
  • Watson: you are entering the casino in Sonic Adventure

Problem with Nyanners is that she has the potential to be better but her success is mostly tied to her actual character, she has the golden ticket to try on Hololive but refuse because she is so naive that consider it a downgrade

I vaguely recall someone on this thread from a few hundred pages back stating that the CN branch actually did poorly as far as monetization was concerned. Not quite sure how Bilibili is set up for ad revenue though, and whether that statement meant monetization as a whole including ad-clicks or whether it was just limited to SCs. I highly doubt they pandered to the same extent they do to the EOP crowd, if they ever did.

A 3-way portioning of her future YouTube revenue is still a massive cut into her earnings. I doubt she's interested in starting back up from scratch and having to answer to "management" after making it as an indie for years. Not a fan of her, but from a pure monetary standpoint, remaining as an indie makes sense as far as she's concerned.

They did poorly because Bilibili is a nightmare, even being a gachikoi throwing money like a idiot was discouraged because you have to dox yourself to even have a account and you have to dox yourself twice for giving their versions of supers

so if some idiot for example found your account and throw a super with "fuck winnie the pooh, taiwan is the best" well...

My understanding is all that is part of the new rules that was implemented on Bilibili and streamers in the West Taiwan market after Cover already abandoned the market, no? Or has that always been the case?

Nah is a old rule in china, if you want to use any service located in there you have to dox yourself, so imagine for a moment someone sending cringe supers to i dont know civia, she just have to report them and the funny police would appear and give him a beating for being unrevolutionary, Hololive CN only existed because Cover "gave them" as a freebie for helping them to expand in the earlier days but when the west discovered them in full force and after their uber retardation their outlived their uses

West Taiwan burns all their bridge with their wolf warriors like Artia and Civia. Not to mention Winnie the Pooh makes enemy out of everyone in Asia is the last drop in the bucket.

Botan used to study Chinese for West Taiwan FPS market but now she just study Russian for the Cyka Blyat market instead.

Aqua is also one of the Chinese studying girls back then. She also had quite a big audience over there for being a good diamond rank League player and being adorable communicating in broken Chinese. She also released Chinese songs as well and her growth over there were actually faster than her YouTube counterpart. This is why West Taiwan autists thought that Aqua will take their side and declare independent like their wolf warriors during the fallout of Coco incident. What they got was Aqua and the girls cut their ties and their wolves got an axe instead.

Speaking of CN girls, kinda surprise that Yogiri, supposedly a Taiwanese, continue streaming on Bilibili instead of neutral platform like Twitch or even YouTube.

Nyanners is most likely way to big for Cover to even consider her in all honesty. I've mentioned it a few times but the "most famous" member pre-Hololive would probably be Gura, and even her popularity, especially as a streamer, is very overestimated. Most people who were subscribed to her channel didn't even know she streamed, nor did she do it very often.

Compared to Nyanners who has a million subscribers in the same market as Hololive. It would be impossible to hide the fact that she was Nyanners. Imagine those mouthbreathers in Gura, Ame, or whoever's chat talking about their past channels and multiply that 10 fold. Hololive is lenient with the whole past stuff even though it's technically a rule, but I'm fairly sure Nyanners would be a bit too much for them.

And as usual the streamers are embarrased over their first stream, is always entertaining to see them going back and watch them.
