Chinese Nationalists / Wumaodang (五毛党) / 50 Cent Party - CHINA NUMBAH WAN

Chinese wumao called 孤一蝇 used a VPN to report a Taiwanese YouTube channel called 摄徒日记Fun TV to the Public Security Bureau. For his snitching, he gets assfucked by the authorities.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
I’ll never forgive the VPN wumaos for what they did to Coco, so I love hearing stories of them getting fucked by their own schemes.

I think wumao doesn't really apply these days and is a term I think will be obselete. The idea was that Chinese people needed to be paid a few shekels a post to promote China and make China look good and attack china's enemies.

Well, China isn't as big of a shithole as it used to be so now, these people are willing to shill for China for free. They're simply called Chinese nationalists. The same way Americans shill for America for free and Turkey shills for Turkey for free etc

Chink here, I see the dogmatic defending of China by some western leftists as having their minds broken by the real lies the US makes when demonizing & trying to destabilize other countries so they just end being the light switch brain meme, the CIA has to be behind the Uyghurs, Hong Kong, Tibet, Taiwan & even recent protests in Thailand apparently.
I understand the mindset, the CIA indeed be stirring shit up everywhere, but there's just no critical thinking on the possibility that hey I guess China is doing something fucked up too. you can't call yourself being against the surveillance state but have no whelms about China being the most surveilled country in the world.

Thus you get people trying to say China is making strides in abolishing prisons with their re-education camps on the Uyghurs.

Of course there's probably some CIA involvement training separatists in Xinjiang considering that's what the CIA does, there are real terror issues in Xinjiang & there's Uyghur militant fighters in Syria that likely have the support of Turkey. There's also probably lies pushed by the China hawks on this issue, made worse by China not being open about what's going on Xinjiang, -I've seen claims 10 million Uyghurs have been killed which I find hard to believe- but damn there's no way these people would support even the suggestion of what China claims to be doing if it was the US doing this. But the idea this is part of the US' plan for a full on war with China is crazy, there's a lot of sabber rattling but the US will never start a war with China or seriously try regime change against the communists, our economies are too interconnected & both sides have nukes so it won't end well.

That Wumao meme page linked is a goldmine of them & a page they keep linking to defend just about every controversy China has.

of course you have the Mao defending, I'll just say "a few people perished" is a pretty rich way of framing the purges & famine.

the China must take back Taiwan defense

chinaa1.jpg

claims the US is trying to destablize Thailand & China is standing up this which I really don't know what they're basing that off of.

and a "Hong Kong is China" defense that uses a drawing of the West that has to have come out of Der Stormer

In China, we really don't use the word "Wu Mao" anymore. We usually use pink, rabbit miscellaneous, rabbit friend, turtle miscellaneous, network commentator and other words. Wu Mao is really out of date. Now some people's salary is 7 Mao, or they may just publish things for prison inmates to reduce their sentence。XD

I love the fact that the Thai monarchy is apparently now a bastion of anti-imperialist sentiment. It reminds me of the people who are absolutely convinced that Navalny is a CIA agent, whose top secret masterplan apparently involved getting poisoned and then arrested immediately.

愤青 (fenqing) was a term for Chinese nationalists a while ago, but I'm not sure how current it is.

China is a giant Potemkin Village.

Well, "wumao" is what English speakers have been using to call these people, so now it has become an English word. :D I'm curious why "rabbit miscellaneous" or "turtle miscellaneous" or the others are used, though. I'm guessing there's some sort of Mandarin or hanzi pun there. Can you explain it?

王八蛋 (turtle egg) is an insult. I'm not familiar with contemporary internet slang, though.

They are called rabbits because a famous patriotic China Animation compares China to a rabbit. The little pink is a long time ago. There are lots of young women patriots in a forum. The main color of the forum is pink. As for tortoise, it is also called 土鳖 in Chinese. It has a very old fashioned and ignorant meaning, but this kind of address is not very common. As for the word 杂za (miscellaneous), it's not easy to translate. It mainly has the meaning of miscellaneous things. In spoken Chinese, animal + 杂 means animal viscera. For example, pig 杂 means pig viscera. In addition, 杂 can also be used to form hybrid words. Therefore, adding 杂 after something can express the mindless admirer of this thing, which is similar to the English suffix boo?
So,too za(rabbit miscellaneous, 兔杂or菟砸),that's about what it means。

And these communist shills are... defending free-market capitalism??
I believe, Voltaire and Adam Smith drew some inspiration from Confucius and Taoism. But of course the Communist Chinese wouldn't know that since those were banned till I think the late 70s or mid 80s., will they ban Confucianism again when they realize it's counter-communist again?

It would be interesting to see the communist Chinese being stuck between a rock and an hard place about Confucius and Taoism.
